My wife & I discovered Barranco thanks to the Théâtre du Rideau Vert's website which lists restaurants offering discounts to their ticket holders. We chose Barranco after studying the menu on their easy-to-navigate website. Once on site, we found the staff welcoming & the menu, a culinary adventure featuring Peruvian specialties. The decor is artistically creative, the toilets are clean, the ambience is lively with background music turned down just right for easy conversation, & the service is thoroughly friendly & professional. Carlos was in charge of our table & supported by his colleagues who each brought a different plate of tapas as they came out of the kitchen. Carlos knows the extensive menu by heart & took the time to explain it to us clearly & enthusiatically. This restaurant is clearly a going concern. Prices are reasonable & the place was busy during our early evening midweek visit. My wife & I enjoyed the whole experience very much.

J'ai adoré ce restaurant Péruvien. L'ambiance était génial, les serveurs nous ont proposé les meilleurs choix autant dans la boisson & la nourriture & très attentionné. Autant les boisson que la nourriture était des portions généreuses. Nous avons adoré notre experience. Nous y retournerons très bientôt.

Temps d'attente extrêmement long avant un premier contact avec la serveuse à notre table. Aucune explication ou conversation autour du menu. Une fois les plats sur la table, personne n'est passé pour nous demander si c'était à notre goût. Aucun renouvellement de notre carafe d'eau non plus. 2 cocktails & 3 tapas plus tard, on est reparti en se disant que la réputation de la place était surfaite. La température dans le restaurant est trop froide pour être assis près de la fenêtre & de la porte. Le courant d'air est fort désagréable. On a entendu la serveuse dire « on sait, c'est froid, on l'a mentionné, mais ils refusent de monter le chauffage ». L'installation de chauffage à air chaud dans le sas devrait être considérée. Après tout, c'est environ 14 places assises qui se trouvent dans le courant d'air, ca fait beaucoup de clients inconfortables par soirs d'hiver.

Just as good as the best restaurants I went to in Peru! Drinks are a bit pricier (16$) but definitely had more alcohol in them so fair value in my opinion & the glasses are thematic & varied so the whole experience is very nice! Great place for a casual date!
