THE BEST PERUVIAN RESTAURANT IVE EVER BEEN TO. This place truly tastes like home. The food was incredibly fresh I ate so much & didn't feel bloated at all, which says everything about the quality. The drinks were exactly like my mom used to make back home: the pisco sour & maracuyá sour were perfectly balanced & so authentic.
The lomo saltado was hands down the best I've ever had. The sauce was spectacular, the meat was high quality, soft, juicy, & perfectly medium-rare inside. Even the fries were amazing still crispy, not soggy at all. The huacatay sauce tasted so fresh, & the cebiche was absolutely to die for.
If you're looking for real Peruvian food in Montreal, this is the place. You can feel the love & tradition in every bite.
We were sat at the bar which wasn't ideal since our service was spotty. The food had a nice presentation style, the ceviche, pio pio tacos & plantain chips were good, but the lamb shank tasted a bit gamey for our liking, & the drinks were fancy.
Thank you to the Cooks, Chef & Bartenders.
My partner & I sat at the bar in front of a beautiful wall of cocktail garnishes & soaked in the atmosphere. This is by far my favorite Peruvian restaurant in Canada that I've had the pleasure of eating & drinking at for the authenticity. Even the music was at level where you were not yelling but also enjoying & hearing your partner.
The Mahi Mahi ceviche was incredible down to the detailed cocktails & friendly bar staff. Will most certainly come back.
Thank you.
We had the most lovely experience. The food was outstanding, the drinks fantastic & the service exceptional. Highly recommended!
Authentic Peruvian flavors in the heart of Montreal!
This spot completely blew me away - from the creative cocktails to the beautifully plated dishes. The drink presentation was incredible (served in a skull tiki mug!) & packed with tropical flavor. The food was fresh, full of texture, & bursting with that signature Peruvian zest - especially the octopus dish, which was cooked to perfection.
The atmosphere was vibrant with great music, colorful decor, & warm service that made the whole experience feel like a trip to Lima. Highly recommend this place whether you're visiting or local - it's a must-try for anyone who loves good vibes & amazing Peruvian cuisine! 🇵🇪✨
This is the second time I come to Barranco. Both times were for a birthday & both times they did something special. Food & drinks are terrific. Our waitress Nabila was very attentive & kind. I recommend!
Un excellent ceviche, bon service, drink différent & généreux & des desserts à tomber par terre. Belle découverte!
🐾 dogs are allowed on the patio!
We loved the food! It was delicious, very beautifully presented fresh & tasty. Came out pretty fast too. The drinks are super original with lots to choose from.
We had the taquitos chicharron. The anticutcho filet mignon. Two different salchipapas ( omg amazing!) the flavors are sublime here!! We also ordered the yuquitas to try but sadly really didn't enjoy them. The sauce was delish but they tasted like tater tots to us. We did return them.
The rest! Amazing & we can't wait to go back.
The service however lacked. They were slow. Unnatentive. They didn't pick up dirty plates or glasses. They served us our food without cutlery. So we had to wait quiet some time & kindly ask to get some.
We didn't wait at all. We went on a Saturday at about 5:15pm.
Amazing Peruvian restaurant with amazing drinks & amazing food!
Sat inside which was a pretty tacky atmosphere. The waiters kept hounding us to take our order while we were looking at the menu (had three different people trying to serve us). Once the order was taken they brought it in two parts & after eating the first part one of the girls came over after a while & asked if we wanted to order more when we had already ordered three other dishes & had been waiting. Seems like the attention to us really went away once we ordered & they didn't seem to know what we had taken. In regards to the food everything wasn't well seasoned & the food was really subpar for Peruvian food. I feel like all the raving reviews really had us excited but we left pretty disappointed. We wanted to order drinks but everything was 17$ & more which is ludicrous. If you order just 4 drinks you are spending 70$+tax & tip which makes absolutely no sense. I'd definitely avoid this spot.
We went here on a Friday afternoon for dinner. Had a reservation for 6pm but arrived early & were able to get a table & enjoy a few drinks before dinner.
The 5@7 special is amazing as well as the grilled octopus.
Wow!!!! I am so glad that this was our last dinner in Montreal because we would have compared every other to it & would have been disappointed. It was absolutely nothing short of AMAZING! The drinks....best we had the entire time here.....the service was completely on point, friendly, efficient, & the place was busy. We started with sharing Solterito & it was so fresh, well-balanced, & light. My daughter got the ceviche rocoto & I got the anticucho de Pollo....both ridiculously flavorful. I wish I could have ordered one of everything on that menu...seriously. We shared the passion fruit cheesecake & it was perfect. I do not have a single bad thing to say. If you have the chance...go! I absolutely promise you will not be disappointed.
GO GO GO
PERFECT FOR SUMMER!!
It's so fresh & DELICIOUS!!!
We're obsessed
The staff is super nice & extra cause most of them speak spanish
Latin approved
Can't wait to go back to try everything else
Got the chance to sit at the terrasse & it just made up for a perfect family lunch
Craving ceviche every time the weather hits hard
The drinks were also really good
Really impressed with everything here. We came late last night & the host/manager/& server were accommodating allowing us to sit & enjoy a quick bite as they closed. Our server took extra time with us explaining the origin of some of the dishes (where the names came from) in Peru, even though they were busy closing. That is hospitality. Food, drink, & atmosphere all lined up as well. Thank you!
Great spot in Montreal for food! We got tacos, octopus, & civeche.
We found there were too many potatoes with the octopus & too much lime in the Ceviche. Tacos were great, drinks were great. Dessert was also amazing.
