It’s frequently described as authentic, vibrant, and delicious, with many guests feeling transported to Lima by the flavors, ambiance, and friendly staff. Barranco MTL stands out as a top pick for those seeking high-quality Peruvian cuisine in Montreal, with a lively vibe that invites sharing and good times.
Very mixed experience. My husband had the ANTICUCHO DE LOMO which was excellent, I had JALEA MIXTA which was basically a basket of fried seafood with mayonnaise. Our waitress quit half way through the meal (or her shift was over). She then hung out at the bar. After that, it was hard to figure out who was serving us. Some went above & beyond, cleaning our table & replacing our silverware when it was not dirty, some were very hands off.
Ordered the crispy cauliflower to share with my friend & Ceviche Barranco as the main dish. The crispy cauliflower was good but the Ceviche Barranco was way too sour for me. 😅
Absolutely loved this place! The drinks were delicious & perfectly balanced. The food was just as impressive-especially the Jarey D'Agnon, which was full of flavor & beautifully presented. The team was incredibly friendly & professional, creating a warm & welcoming atmosphere. Price-wise, everything felt reasonable & made sense for the quality. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Peruvian cuisine in Montreal!
La persona que nos atendió como que nos veía mal, tardo en atendernos y no había mucha gente, la comida un tanto simple, pero las bebidas estaban muy ricas
The vibe of the place was fun. A bit on the loud side but was still enjoyable to talk with friends.
The staff was very dedicated to accomodate the meal to my dietary restrictions.
I didn't get to try a lot but everything was tasty.
Probably will be coming back for the drinks.

Amazing food & drinks, been multiples times & never been disappointed. The lomo saltado, salchipapas asado, yuca fries, & the seafood rice are all amazing. Would recommend the pisco sour or any other of their speciality cocktails & also the chicha morada which is amazing. Definitely recommend!
The food was amazing! HOWEVER, the waiters completely ignored us. They didn't show up to take our orders until I raised my hands a few times, they didn't check on me during the meal, I even ran out of drinking water. If I could do 0 star for the service, I would.
