Barranco is a modern Peruvian cuisine restaurant located in the heart of Plateau Mont-Royal on Saint-Denis Street. It offers authentic flavors thanks to several products imported directly from Peru.
Barranco MTL delivers a lively Peruvian dining experience with fresh ceviche, octopus and seafood rice that feel authentic yet vibrant in a Montreal setting. The menu balances traditional and fusion twists, while cocktails and nonalcoholic options impress with creativity and balance. The service and atmosphere are consistently praised, offering attentive hospitality, a warm, festive vibe, and a welcoming terrace that suits celebrations or casual nights out. Generous portions and a memorable dessert finish make the visit feel like a feast of textures, colors, and bright Peruvian flavors.
We came as a family to celebrate a birthday & had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, the drinks were great & the service was excellent! Everyone pays close attentionto detail! Thank you to the entire team, this was our first time & thanks to you all we will come again & again!

Went during Victoria day. They seemed to have been a staff or two short as they couldn't answer the phone. The phone ai also isn't able to confirm their holiday hours.
Nonetheless we arrived & had a great time. The food was quite good & the drinks tasted great. Service & staff was accommodating & was was as good as it can get as the restaurant began to become busier by the hour.
Muchas gracias !
Very nice experience! It was pricy, but the food was amazing. We ordered lomo saltado, yuca, & causa de pulpo. It was all delicious. The corn they served while we waited was incredible, super tasty. For dessert I don't remember the name, but it was pretty much a corn cob shaped chocolate filled with mouse 🤤 To drink we had pisco sour & Barranco tiki & they were both very good (although I personally liked the pisco sour better).
Very nice experience overall! We will be back
The food quality was great, but we were a group of 8 & the service was not great, did not bring the foods in time, forgot who ordered what, misplaced orders.. etc.

This is an edit to my previous review which was positive except the yuca fries.
I change this review based off lack of consistency in the food. The rice was yesterdays rice served on the plate. Not fresh or not properly cooked.
For a saturday evening there was a shortage of desserts & as we all know, in the restaurant industry, that saturdays are busy days. So weird that there was no specific desserts for the evening folk, perhaps only for the folks in the later night.
You just cant mess up rice in a Peruvian restaurant. Alas, this will be my last visit.
