Guests describe Barcola Bistro as an intimate and cozy spot where a Saturday four-course menu can feel deceptively simple yet is perfectly prepared and delicious, with pacing that stays just right, a warm and gracious vibe, a setting that invites lingering, and music that adds a memorable touch; the food, wine, and overall atmosphere receive repeated praise and return visits feel likely, though an afternoon visit is noted as less welcoming, reinforcing the sense that Barcola Bistro is a charming hidden gem worth returning to.
If I could give 6/5 !!! We had such a lovely evening at Barcola. It was a Saturday, so the menu was four courses. A deceptively simple meal that was perfectly prepared & perfectly delicious. The service provided by Danielle was exactly on pace -- not too fast & not too slow -- & very gracious. You could not find a more pleasant atmosphere in which to dine: the room is modest in size so the atmosphere is intimate. & the music was the perfect cap to everything. We live not too far away & so we will make this a regular event but I would definitely make a bit of a trip to have an evening here. Buon Appetito !!!

The food was delicious & the service was great. Fresh & high quality ingredients - the three courses were perfection. We will
Definitely be back! My only regret is not taking any photos. To include in my review. Very cool atmosphere & we loved all the music that was playing as well.
I brought my sister here for her birthday & we were both very happy with the experience. All of the courses were delicious. The portions seem small at first but we were both full by the end of the night. I especially loved the panna cotta which I had never tried before. The atmosphere was my favourite part; it is a very intimate setting with beautiful music & ambience. If I could afford it, I would eat here every week. I will certainly be back. Thank you, Barcola, for a great night!
Went there in august, on a Wednesday for the apperitivo tasting menu, specified it on the booking but when I got there the lady told us that it's not available. Instead proposed us overpriced tomatoes with salt & olive oil (yes almost 30$ for uncooked tomates) & a spaetzle dish that's not even Italian in my repertoire. Music was too loud, i couldn't even hear the server talking & her recommendations. It was so deceiving I went to go get bagels afterwards to finish my meal. I had high hopes, but unfortunetly won't be back
A hidden gem! The background music didn't prevent us from having a conversation; the service was great; the food was great! This place is cozy & lovely!

Une soirée parfaite, tout simplement. Une cuisine raffinée & passionnée, un service chaleureux & rempli de considération & une ambiance distinguée, musicalement parfaitement agencée, qui joint chaleur & romance. Un must.
I & two friends had a perfectly lovely evening at Barcola a few weeks' back. The music was great, the service was warm & efficient, the food was yummy & just the right sized portions. Wine list is varied & very reasonably priced. Will definitely return many times in the future!
