It is one of my favorite restaurants in Montreal. They have a great selection of wine & food is so simple but spectacular. Would recommend the honey ricotta toast, anchovies, cacio e pepe, ceaser salad.
Great terrace & nice outdoor space to have cocktails while waiting for a table. Very friendly service, but not overwhelming. Nice cocktails & wine selection. We had a crisp vinho verde. My cousin & I shared four plates: homemade foccacia with whipped ricotta, honey & exquisite olive oil (the star of our dinner!), crispy calamari with bomba mayo, rappini with hot pepper, garlic & parmigiano, & pasta with tomato cream sauce, fresh basil & stracciatella. Everything was simply perfect & we were very satisfied.
La bouffe est très bonne, surtout les foccacias. Par contre les portions de pâte sont très petites pour le prix. Excellente sélection de vin. L'endroit est charmant & le service est pro.
Very extensive wine selection! Food was very good - surprised at deep fried olives! Would recommend!
The honey ricotta focaccia is to die for!!! The bucatini was also very good, they definitely don't skimp out on the shrimp! The only thing is that it went over our spicy food tolerance hahah. Last but not least, the amaretto sour was delicious!
Our servers were very welcoming & friendly, & the ambiance was just lovely. Great selection of songs, especially if you like 90s music :)
The only things you should be mindful of:
- Be prepared to wait for a good 20-30min
- They might put you on a shared table - bit awkward if you're going on a first date, but otherwise fine!
Wow! Perfect neighborhood spot with great food, personable staff & a legit wine selection. Stumbled in here on a slammed NYE & they got us in at the bar, highlight of our New Years!
From the greeting we knew it would be a great evening. The staff felt like family & welcomed us from the first our first step into this beautiful setting restaurant. We had focaccia, traditional salt & rosemary which reminded me of my Nonna's when I was young. Excellent wine selection too. We also had the calamari as a side dish. Our main meal was the famous caccio & Pepe & squash agnolotti in a buttery sage sauce. Both dishes were well portioned not to over stuff us. We even had place for an excellent carrot cake with some caramel on top. My wife & I totally enjoyed & wish to share this culinary establishment. The entire team there were looked very proud of their work & food. I would give 6 stars for service if possible.
Food was good (high quality, small portions) but service was not the best. We spent most of the night trying to get our waiters attention any time we wanted to order food/drinks. It's weird bc our plates were changed quickly after eating but our waiter was really no where to be found most of the night. Once our food arrived it looked like it had been sitting under a heating lamp for a long time - lukewarm in the middle. My latte arrived kinda cold. Wanted to order more but the kitchen was closed (which we werent informed before). Like everyone was polite but I think they are understaffed with servers. We loved the burrata & the tomato foccacia. They clearly use high quality ingredients bc the olive oil & tomatoes were delicious. Our beef onglet was perfectly cooked. Enjoyed the vermouth selection. We'd come back for sure but only if we have a lot of time to wait.
overall cute & cozy vibes with a great wine selection! Our go-to wine night spot!
I love Barbara. The vibes are immaculate. The food quality is sometimes inconsistent, but overall always satisfied. The wine selection is great & delicious.
