I had a reservation at a table but decided to sit at the bar instead. Best decision! Service was fast & friendly, my cocktail was great & the black truffle gnocchi was beyond amazing. Sure, the meals are on the more expensive side but I find this restaurant to be so worth it based on the quality of the items & the beauty of the place within itself. Highly recommend!
Bar George is really fancy & the food is delicious & extremely rich. It is in a really cool hotel & the decor is exquisite. They have the best beef Wellington that I have ever had in my life because it is unique & has a lot of ingredients that I really appreciated, such as a ground up mushroom paste of some kind that was inside the pastry. They also have a fine selection of wine.

Went there for brunch , the place is beautiful, it must be amazing to have a drink there near the bar. Our waiter was nice & friendly. We tried the burger, salmon & the lobster omelette. The omelette was definitely the best choice. The texture of the omelette & the lobster were amazing. I would probably go back for the omelette again. The other dishes were good but a bit on the salty side.
Great architecture, appetizers were good, oysters wetter very nice from PEI & drinks were very good. Just for the architecture & ambiance it is worth the visit. They also sit you at the bar which was kind of nice.

We came on Friday afternoon to celebrate with a drink. We sat at the bar. The worst bartender service ever. The bartender was behaving like he does not have time for us. & $21 for Aperol spritz? If you're going to charge $21 for a classic cocktail, I expect good hospitality. Won't go again.

Magnificent atmosphere, the utmost staff professionalism & some of the tastiest food & drinks I've ever had. I recommend anyone to pay a visit themselves, & at a bare minimum try the bar. It is very haute-couture with a dash of modernity, so dress in a reasonably decent fashion; I would say smart casual is the cut. The scenery is of an ostentatious late 19th century decor that contains 140+ years of Montreal history. The stained glass is mesmerizing, the woodwork unbelievable. Shout out to Jonathan, the best waiter in the dining hall for the last 3 years I've been visiting - an absolute champion who's extremely knowledgeable & provides the most fantastic service I've ever received at any restaurant. Bar George is in a great space & has great food to boost. I think this was our most expensive meal in Montreal, but my wife loved the lobster risotto. My steak was amazing as well. Drinks were great & waitstaff was friendly. A great visit!
I had the best beef Wellington of my life at Bar George this past week. I was in town for a few days from out west & I was conveniently located. The decor of the bar is great. & the bartender, I think he had a shaved head, he was a good guy to me. I liked him. I will go so far as to say this whole experience was one of the highlights of my trip to Montreal.
We had the best night at bar George. It is truly such a stunning room, you could stare at it for hours & never capture all the details. Our service was exceptional on a busy Friday day. The Dj was awesome & everyone was grooving
So beautiful inside! If history & architecture are your thing, you have to eat here! The round bar is also very cool & they had a DJ. Beef wellington was insanely good!
