Dans l'ensemble, Bar Dominion est largement salué pour son ambiance élégante, ses cocktails excellents et ses fruits de mer frais ainsi que des plats à partager qui fonctionnent bien en groupe, ce qui en fait un endroit populaire pour les sorties en amoureux, entre amis et avant match; les convives soulignent un service attentif et chaleureux et une atmosphère à la fois dynamique et sophistiquée, avec des points forts tels que les calamars, les huîtres et les fries au parmesan, tandis que certains avis évoquent des prix élevés, un service parfois lent ou surchargé et des expériences mitigées sur certains plats comme le burger ou le plateau; des remarques sur le bruit et la foule lors des soirées d'affluence reviennent aussi, mais l'ensemble donne l'impression d'une adresse fiable pour les cocktails, l'ambiance et une expérience de bar élégant et détendu.
Un resto que j'aimais transformé en bar N'y allez pas avec l'intention d'être assis & manger tranquillement, vous serez déçus. Belle déco, endroit plutôt adapté pour y prendre un verre sans trop s'éterniser. Bons petits plats & bons cocktails. L'endroit est cependant un tout petit peu froid si vous y allez tôt en soirée. Faut y être quand la faune débarque ! Plus cool !!

Très beau, belle ambiance quoiqu'assez bruyant (nous y avons été après la partie du Canadien samedi dernier). Nourriture & cocktails délicieux. Nous y retournerons assurément lors de notre prochain week-end d'amoureux.
Amazing ambiance, food & cocktails. Very knowledgeable & cool staff ! Had a great time with my gf at the bar! Oysters, beef skewers, shishito peppers & salmon tartare, thank me later 😉
2024: Bar Dominion: decor is classic. Music was a weird mix of reggae & disco. Doesn't really have the same classy Brit vibe as before at all. The Martingale was a mediocre overpriced cocktail. My sister enjoyed her tuxedo martini but it wasn't something I would get. No effort into drink presentation. Service was polite but not particularly attentive. Left after one drink. 2019: Dominion Square Tavern (5 stars): Always great service, strong cocktails, gorgeous decor.
I'm just so happy someone has decided to reopen that place. Before the pandemic this was one of my favourite restaurants in Montreal, it had a European brasserie vibe with a Montreal touch. This was my second visit since it reopened (with the previous place I would come once or twice per month). As of today it's a bar with a bit (of good) food to snack on. They have changed the old tables & chairs with modern black high tables & stools. The rest is the exact same & it's fantastic they have kept all of that. This said I liked more the old tables & chairs, the new ones don't fit as well with the place & are less comfortable . The cocktails are very good, but a bit on the pricey side. The food is very good too, the devil eggs are delicious! & the service is also very good, welcoming & smiling. All in all a great experience, I will definitely go again & recommend it but I wish they would evolve into a restaurant & similar to what it was before. You don't need to reinvent the wheel, or try to be too fancy & modern, you would be great as a tavern with simple but affordable good food & drinks !
$1 oysters on Sunday & Monday- great promotion. The cocktails we ordered were good but not as good as I expected. Devil's eggs are delicious, fries are average. Not a lot of choice for food if you would like to have dinner there.

In town for Rangers-Canadiens, & we pre-gamed at the bar with some oysters, shrimp cocktail, parmesan fries, & stiff drinks. Excellent all-around. Hope to be back for the next game!
Fast friendly service! Great cocktails, delicious bites. We had a small gathering for a group of 7-8. The high tables were perfect for mingling. If you like oysters, they were beautifully fresh & tasty. Special thanks to our server Annie who was very attentive & took great care of our group. Paul was also super helpful.
Ce n'est plus un vrai resto taverne mais plus un bar très beau & authentique. Barman très pro, bons cocktails , huîtres fraîches, plus pour approbation & bar que manger & dîner mais le tout dans un superbe cadre class
Was looking for a cocktail bar with eats almost missed this place due to construction, but thrilled we found it. Great cocktails & very attentive service. Seating is comfortable & set up to socialize. Nice buzz without feeling manufactured, chain or being stuffy. Comfortable casual with a flair. We had the bruchetta...the creammed ricotta..this was incredible
