1st time I went I tried the beef & chicken Banh Mi & I was very satisfied. This time I went for a Pho Soup & I was satisfied of the the taste for a'Halal Vietnamese' fusion!
Really enjoyed our meal at Baan Lao. The skewers are flavourful & tender & the pho broth is perfectly seasoned. Also tried the fuchka & that was good too. Highly recommend

We had super delicious Pho beef soup & schrimp soup with samosas on the side today at Baan Lao!!! It is a little place but very nice decorated, very clean & welcoming

Très bonne place pour une Pho. Je n'ai pas goûté les autres plats mais la soupe Pho était 10/10. Belle portion, belle présentation, les arômes étaient parfaits.
Ma place préférée dans le centre sud.
We came to taste halal pho & banh mi for the first time. It was really good!! Even got free tea. Lovely service.Prices are great too.BUT. We found hair in our banh mi :///// & something in our pho too. Mistakes can happen but i saw that it happened to other people too.

Me & my wife tried the beef pho, lamb brochets & beef sandwich.
I would highly recommend this place.
Portion does not justify the price for the Pho. Taste blend, noodle just thick flat spaghetti. Broth tastes like those Pho cubes from stores. I never expect to eat pho in a restaurant smells curries😂? anyways service was great
Première visite au Baan Lao & certainement pas la dernière ! C'est le seul resto à Montréal que je sache à proposer des pho halal, & franchement, c'était une belle découverte.
La soupe pho au boeuf était savoureuse & bien équilibrée, avec un bouillon riche & parfumé comme il faut. On a aussi pris des brochettes glacées pour notre enfant de 2 ans, il a adoré - c'était tendre, goûteux, parfait pour les petits comme les grands.
Quand au service ,c'etait chaleureux, ambiance agréable, & surtout un menu asiatique 100 % halal, ce qui est rare à Montréal.
Je recommande vivement Baan Lao, surtout si vous êtes dans le coin de Pointe-Saint-Charles.
The food was amazing. The beef skewers were fantastic, & the pho, both chicken & beef, were superb & truly tasted authentic, even down to having bean sprouts & basil for garnish. I love that they serve Salaam Cola! One of the co-owners was working front of house & was very kind, & the service was 110%
I wish this business could branch out to all provinces. When in Montreal, this place is a must, regardless of if you eat halal or not.

Une expérience exceptionnelle du début à la fin ! La nourriture est excellente, pleine de saveurs raffinées & tout est halal, ce qui est un gros plus pour nous. Mon mari cherchait un pho halal depuis des mois, & il a tout simplement adoré ! L'ambiance cozy rend le moment encore plus agréable, & le service est impeccable, attentionné sans être envahissant. On reviendra, c'est certain !

It's my first time to eat halal pho in Montreal. It's delicious & comes in a big portion. Fast service, clean establishment, & very close from the metro station (located on rue Charlevoix). Rizwan is very polite & friendly. Will definitely come again!
Delicious Bengali Viet fusion. I had the beef pho & beef bahn mi, the flavors, freshness & overall taste are 10/10. Nice drink options too like salaam cola & more.
We enjoyed the food.
We got the 2 for 30$ entrée & shared a beef pho. The broth of the pho was delicious, good noodles, & large pieces of beef.
The entrée was good too & we ended up having some skewers to take home as leftovers. The shrimp were very large, the size of a regular fork!
