Review Summary

Asoo Restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with authentic, delicious and healthy fare, and many diners praise friendly, attentive service and a reliably enjoyable dining experience; some consider it the best Persian restaurant in Montreal and note that visits happen regularly without disappointment. However, a few reviews describe decent food paired with disappointing service when crowded, with staff seeming distracted or unwelcoming, which can overshadow the quality on those occasions.

I've had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant four times with my family, & each experience has reaffirmed its status as the best kebab place in Montreal. The quality of the meat is exceptional, & you can request it to be cooked to your liking - juicy or well done. Don't be deterred by the price, as the lamb kebabs are tender & worth every penny. The owner, a warm & welcoming lady, ensures a cozy atmosphere. On weekends, they offer Kale Pacheh (Lamb bone broth), which perfectly satisfies my cravings since returning from Iran. The flavors are expertly balanced, mild, & adaptable to any diet or taste buds. Of course you can always add salt & pepper to taste. I appreciate that their stews aren't overly oily, making them a delight. In my opinion, they serve the best kebab in downtown Montreal, if not all of Montreal. Keep up the fantastic work!
