Reviews for Argana Restaurant
I had the most wonderful experience at Argana Restaurant. The traditional Moroccan decor instantly transports you to another world. We ordered the lamb tagine & the chicken couscous, & both dishes were bursting with authentic spices & flavors. The portions are very generous for the price. The staff was incredibly welcoming & finished our meal with traditional mint tea. Highly recommend.
The place is pretty. Service wise, it took them 45 mins for a single pastilla, which in my experience, had never taken that long to make before at other Moroccan restaurants. At the 35 minutes mark, they started blasting music abnormally loud. I love music I believe it's necessary for the atmosphere, but this was genuinely really really loud.My last straw was that they had asked me if I wanted it for here or to go, I said for here, & they gave it to me wrapped to go. Portion size was also very small. Atmosphere was nice, food tasted good, but compared to other Montreal Moroccan restaurants, service needs to be worked on.
Wonderful food. By far the best Moroccan restaurant I've been to in Montreal. The besara soup in incredible.
Wonderful neighbourhood restaurant for delicious, homemade Moroccan classics. The personnel are very kind & proud of their food & culture, & when I was there I felt like I was in a Moroccan home, also because of the beautiful decor. I cannot wait to return.
This is a nice small Moroccan restaurant in the neighbourhood. The menu has no prices, like before. Was very surprised when seeing the bill a meal i had seen on an old menu for 12$ & a breakfast combo turned out to be a 60$ meal. Im not sure if they are charging different people different prices but it seemed like price gouging considering the old prices I had seen on their menu on google. Wasn't going to argue with the bill but left me with a bad taste in my mouth. A few breads, eggs, honey & tea should not cost 40$. If you are going to significantly increase prices you should at least have them on your menu!
