Delicious gluten-free arepas! The flavors & textures are spot on. My favorite is the black bean, plantain, & avocado; teenager likes all the chicken ones. The green sauce is so good & the red one adds a nice fiery kick. Be sure to try the coconut flan!

Absolutely delicious food! The trio of empanadas with cheese & chicken was my personal favourite perfectly crispy, flavorful, & paired with amazing sauces. The place also offers great vegetarian options, which is always a big plus. The staff is incredibly friendly & welcoming. Just thinking about this place again makes my mouth water, so delicious 🤤
Listen-I've been burned before by Latino pork & beef that turned out stringy & dry. But here? Their Pabellón & Suerna were so juicy & packed with flavor. The toppings were fresh & top-notch, & they even give you both a tangy avocado sauce & a spicy sauce-absolute perfection.
The arepas themselves? Perfectly cooked: crispy on the outside, soft inside, & the ideal vessel for a generous, delicious filling. Definitely coming back next time I'm in the area.
Had a fantastic meal at Arepera! Can't go wrong with the Pabellon Arepas, sauces that came with the meal elevated everything & service was efficient. Will definitely be coming back anytime I'm in Montreal.
The best part is the avacado sauce, but the actual meal is a little boring & not that flavorful. Their new restaurant has as good an atmosphere as the old one, but with a lot more space.
My best friend who is celiac & I love this place so much. Every time we visit we are greeted by the great staff. Today Nora was our waitress & she was really friendly, kind & took her time with us.
La bouffe est incroyable, on commande CHACUN toujours 3 empenadas & le pabellon de pollo, & avec chaque bouchée bien sûr accompagné de la merveilleuse sauce épicée rouge & celle verte.
Ce resto a changé de propriétaires au fils des années, mais la qualité, les prix, & l'expérience est tout aussi enjoyable.
Avec la belle journée, les fenêtres ouvertes, on ce sentait dehors avec les piétons alors qu'on était comfortable à l'intérieur.

I came to Montreal not knowing I would travel in time to my childhood in Venezuela. Empanadas are just perfect: thin & crunchy, flavourful, delicious stuffing, perfect size, best empanadas in Canada!! Also the guasacaca sauce, omg!!! Not only it is DELICIOUS but it reminded me of my home, my family, when we used to get together on weekends to make'parrilladas' (bbq)! Congratulations guys, you are doing great!!
Amazing restaurant, my husband & I loved our meals. It is also wonderful that everything is gluten free. I loved the avocado sauce & hot sauce that were provided with the food, delicious!

when i say my sister came back here TWICE in one day, im being completely serious! food was so comforting & well portioned for the price. Inside, the staff is very friendly & the service was great. Food was also very quick! The bun was perfect & very generously stuffed. All came with a side salad which was refreshing (don't know the sauce that went on it but it was so good!). We absolutely love this place & it's definitely worth checking out!
Un de nos restaurants préférés à Montréal. J'adore faire découvrir le restaurant à de nouvelles personnes. Tout les plats sont savoureux. Nous avons vraiment apprécié le spécial 2/1 sur les consommations d'alcool, c'est une promotion qui revient à l'occasion. Ne changez jamais la recette de la sauce verte, c'est un pur délice!
Been close to a decade since I first wrote a 5 star review on TripAdvisor upon our first visit & this time I wanted to share it on Google. We visit this place annually (other than lockdown year) from out of town. A proper gluten free restaurant. Over these years since being introduced to Areparas we've tried other places to compare, in different cities & countries. We also noticed over the years some menu changed here, I really miss the Crackling Arepera but the Pork Belly is my replacement & amazing. The point of this updated review a decade later is after over the years trying different Arepara places hands down this place is our benchmark! Each time we return & I take my first bite, I am instantly transported back to the wonderful memories & feelings upon tasting the food here like the first time. I am reminded why they are our benchmark for their ingredient quality, taste, prep, portion, their 2 sauces & why we must continue to return to enjoy such great food at reasonable prices by this Arepera owner & the team. I really want as many people to experience it too!
