This was supposed to be a special Valentine's dinner at a restaurant we normally love, but the experience was honestly disappointing & very uncomfortable.
From the moment we were seated, we felt completely neglected. No one checked in to see if our meal was okay, no one asked if we wanted another drink, & we were largely ignored throughout the entire evening. What made it worse was watching the staff visibly judging us while barely acknowledging us at all for no apparent reason.
At the end of the meal, we were asked if we wanted our food to go - but were never offered dessert, coffee, or another drink, which felt rushed, unwanted & dismissive, especially on Valentine's Day when most couples expect a more complete dining experience.
It wasn't about the food - it was about the lack of basic hospitality. Being ignored while others receive attentive service really takes away from what should have been a special night. I've had great experiences here before, which makes this even more disappointing. I hope this was an off night, but it definitely left a sour impression to a once highly spoken about spot.
Archway is honestly incredible. The food is consistently an 11/10. Every time I go, I have to get the Caesar salad. It's chef's kiss, so good. & the drinks are just as amazing. There are so many options, & everything I've tried has been great. You really need to go. This is the best vegan restaurant I've ever been to. Even my friends who aren't vegan loved it & couldn't even tell the food was vegan. I love this place! 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

I've been to this restaurant a few times & always enjoyed the food & atmosphere. But my most recent visit was disappointing. Despite having a reservation & requesting a table by the window, we were seated in the back-even though the restaurant was nearly empty.
We waited over 45 minutes for a cocktail & weren't even offered water in the meantime. While the food was good as always, the service fell short. Our server did comp the drinks, which was appreciated, but there was little explanation about the menu or acknowledgment of the long wait.
It left us feeling overlooked, especially given the many available tables up front. Hoping this was just an off night. The owner was not there....
This was such a picturesque location. We were seated right by the window & the lofi playing on the speakers was perfectly calming & chill. The plants set up around made it even more welcoming. Our server was super welcoming & friendly & equipped with our recommendations we were able to order some of the most delicious dishes I've ever had. Everything was very flavorful & had the most intriguing & tasty combinations. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I recommend trying their specialty hot drinks.
This may be the best vegan food I have ever eaten (tied with Bloom). The artistry & creativity is unmatched. I have been vegan for 9 years, & searched for good vegan food in NY, the Bay Area, Philly, Vermont & many places in between, & I cannot find a match for the passion that Montreal holds for food. It's the main reason we keep coming back to Montreal (along with the spas & architecture). Our server was patient & knowledgeable. The decor was a welcoming warm minimalism that set a calm atmosphere. As soon as we saw the menu, I had high expectations. The drinks were next level creative & delicious. & the food was just perfection. The portions are very generous, so I recommend ordering a few entrees & sharing, if you're attending with a group. The server recommended the chicken & waffles, which was not at all on my short list. But I'm grateful they did, as I was thoroughly impressed with the myriad components. There was a such a balance to the flavors; something that is often overlooked in my daily routine of salads & bowls. The restaurant should be immensely proud of their work. The front of house staff create a welcoming environment while the kitchen creates amazing fare. Overall, an incredible meal that has me looking fiestas to my next visit.
We came for drinks & nibbles. The service was great, really warm & welcoming even to english speakers who couldn't speak french! The cocktails were great & other drinks too. We got the melon sashimi that really impressed us all - it was perfectly balanced & super refreshing. We also got the green goddess salad that was delicious & had a lovely dressing. Would definitely recommend!

Cute patio & nice ambiance. Lots of drink options which is always fun. The menu is quite extensive so there has to be something for everyone. Quite impressed by the breakfast sandwich which tastes like a delicious high quality non vegan breakfast sandwich. We also really enjoyed the ramen. Despite their beautiful presentation, we weren't the biggest fan of their baklava pancakes ( dense & not the most flavourful ). Potatoes & matcha latte are just ok. Prices are quite high but that's just what you see in the neighbourhood. I'd give it maybe a 7.5/10.
We came here for our anniversary dinner & both got the Table D'hôte. The portions in general were very good for the price & we walked out of there extremely satisfied. The dishes in general were good but some of them lacked flavour. the gnocchi were really chewy & overcooked & the sauce was flavourless. It mostly tastes like mayo.... This was the same for the white drizzle of sauce around the cauliflower. Everything else was good. The brownie at the end was lacklustre & if I came again I would go for the cheese cake 🍰 which was delicious. The drinks 🍹 were also DELICIOUS & would highly recommend going for those!! I would suggest that the restaurant refines their gnocchi dish a bit.
Lovely, little vegan spot in a hip quarter of Montreal. The food is next level, the staff is attentive & charming & I never thought I'd mention a mimosa but they've made a drink that is worth the trip alone. Don't miss this spot if you're in Montreal, it's top notch
Archway is a Verdun gem for anyone looking for an upscale take on vegan food in a comfortable setting. Every time I come here, the service is great, the atmosphere is nice & the food is so tasty. While it's so much fun to come here & get my fill of vegetables, it's hard to justify the price of the dishes considering they are vegan. Everything is delicious, but the prices are high & the portions are relatively small. I have tried every dish here, & the best one by far is the maitake steak. This dish is so filling & innovative combining different flavours & textures. I also highly recommend the drinks here. Alcoholic or not, Archway's drink menu is filled with phenomenal sips.

always great food & drinks here. a bit on the expensive side but worth it. the room is not the most cozy, they could improve with less intense lighting & some sound dampening ( dark curtains on the flat white walls would help with both problems) but the food is soo good & the employees are always very kind & helpful
We had delivered at home the kale salad, eggplant, tofu, dumplings, arancini & coco-lime dessert. All the flavours were there. We are sure if we ate at the restaurant, we have yet to go, the experience would have been different. Unfortunately we ordered online & the food arrived all smushy (except salad). The dumplings were sticking to the package, we had to fight to get them out (obviously lost the bottom). Perhaps a piece of parchment would help in the packaging. Wasn't warm by the time it got here somehow (we live 4 min by car away). But again, all the flavours were there & place seems to have potential. The drinks B12 & Golden were good (a bit too much ice). We're glad to have a vegetarian option in the neighbourhood.
Go. Just make your reservation & GO. You will not be disappointed. The drinks rival those of the best cocktail bars & the food is amazing. Incredibly flavorful. Impeccable service. Just wow.
Cortado was excellent. Baklava pancakes were a bit dense. The pistachios & cream on top were a nice complement, & not very sweet. This dish doesn't really make me think of baklava though. Ceviche was tasty, more on the sour tangy side. Would have been nice to have seen a bit more contrast in colours of the ingredients & maybe some herbs. A carb or some sort of chip or cracker or side would have helped. Maitake dish continues to be a miss. Just too unbalanced. The chili maple syrup sauce is too sweet, paired with coconut cream rice that is also sweet... I would maybe come back here for the coffee & drinks. Service was courteous & considerate & the kitchen was very accommodating. Everything was served very hot & was appetizing but I think some of the dishes can be reworked.
Amazing gully vegan restaurant. The place is quaint & beautiful with cute interiors. Good drinks menu & a equally interesting vegan menu for small & large plates. Always love a fully vegan menu that's beyond just tofu. The starter was just too tasty & unique..we ordered a Ramen & pasta for main course & both were equally delicious. Good serving portions.
My new favorite vegan place in town, both brunch & dinner surprised me with their unique flavors. Elevated vegan cuisine at an affordable price, great drink menu & service.
