Archway consistently earns high praise for its creative, flavourful, and artfully presented vegan cuisine, which regularly impresses both dedicated vegans and omnivores alike. Guests frequently highlight standout dishes like the chicken and waffles, gnocchi, and a variety of inventive chef specials, often noting the high quality of ingredients and generous portions. The atmosphere is described as cozy and aesthetically pleasing, with many diners enjoying the welcoming terrace and the thoughtful, attentive service provided by the staff. While there are occasional mentions of slower service times or personal preferences regarding certain dishes, the majority of visitors view the restaurant as a top-tier destination in Montreal, frequently returning to enjoy the refreshing cocktails, professional staff, and memorable dining experiences.
Great first visit, impressive plates, & friendly smiling service. I really the decor, very restful, but we were having a late dinner after a show, so being midweek, we were only customers. We had a jolly time at our table, but not able to judge the atmosphere of a Saturday night crowd for example.
The food was amazing, & our waitress was really lovely. Some of the portion sizes were a bit off (the dessert was the biggest portion which was delicious but odd, & the eggplant schnitzel vs the tandoori squash portion was surprising). The time between the first & second course (MTL a table) was very long, but the rest of the meal rolled smoothly. My partner & I both felt that the decor was nice but a bit bare... suggestions would be to do more with the ceiling/top of the wall space to add a coziness, because it felt a bit open & cold. Also the shelf near the door was empty which made it feel unfinished. Overall though, we had a great night & the food was delicious!! Thank you for a great experience!
I'm not going to list what restaurants you should go to for flavourful & delicious vegetarian food but this is 100% not one of them. I came here twice & both times the experience was entirely underwhelming gastronomically. Tonight I had the eggplant dish which was served on a whole head of lightly grilled lettuce. At 9$ it would have been acceptable to eat such an astonishingly tasteless dish but for 23$, immediately** no. My friends cabbage dish also tasted like it was prepared by a well meaning, 15yo son. The service, my margarita & the decor were however truly lovely. If you don't need to eat here, you're good. In the bottom 10% of vegetarian restaurants in MTL for me.
The place is lovely but the muaic didnt match it- Micheal Jackson Beat It? Instrumental music would go better witb the clean white decor.
The dumplongs were amazing, but the main dishes were not.the Fettucini was hard & there wasnt enough balamce between the creaminess & some greens or other complimentary flavours. The mushroom dish was super bland & way out of balance
They were kind enough to not charge us for the mushroom dish we didn't eat.
I like the brunch but do not recommend for dinne
