The Archibald microbrewery is delicious panini platters, whisky BBQ chicken wings and hearty breakfasts. It's also “hunter's platters” that will satisfy even the most voracious appetites. But above all, Archibald is some ten artisanal brews that are out of this world: La Matante, La Joufflue, La Brise du lac, La Ciboire, La Choute, La Tite'Kriss, La Weiss and more! It's a date!
Archibald Microbrasserie emerges as a warm, inviting spot with a chalet like vibe, where craft beer is consistently praised and the food is largely described as excellent or very good, with standout items like shepherds pie, boudin, fish and chips, burgers, steak and pizza noted by many. Reviewers highlight flavorful dishes and good presentations, though a few plates receive mixed commentary about richness or balance. The atmosphere is repeatedly described as cozy, lively, and welcoming, sometimes enhanced by a live band, with hospitality from the staff praised even when service speed can be variable during busy periods. Reservations are often advised at peak times, and the terrace and interior spaces are appreciated for both groups and intimate dinners. A few comments touch on value for money or portion sizes, and some notes mention minor inconsistencies, but overall Archibald Microbrasserie is seen as a reliable destination for good food, good beer, and a convivial social experience.
Great spot in Trois Rivières for a relaxed meal & quality craft beer. I came here after seeing how popular it is, & it absolutely lived up to the reputation. The atmosphere is warm & inviting, the staff were friendly & attentive, & the service felt well organized even when it was busy. The food was excellent too, my steak was tender & flavorful with perfectly roasted potatoes, & the fresh salad on the side balanced the plate really nicely. We also tried the fish & chips, crispy & satisfying, with tasty sauces. Overall, a solid place for a casual dinner or a night out with friends. If you go at peak hours, reserving is a good idea.

I went here with coworkers during lunch. The atmosphere was comfortable, the noise level was just right, not too loud. The service staff was friendly & attentive. The food however was so-so. I had ordered the tom yum which was pretty good, it had a decent spicy kick to it. The Boursin pasta was unfortunately quite dry, both the sauce & the salmon. Overall ok experience.
Well worth a stop over if driving between Montreal & Quebec City as we were. Interesting take on otherwise normal dishes. I.e. the nachos had feta sprinkled on top. The shrimp nachos were fried bay shrimp with a wonderful but messy sauce. Enjoy with extra napkins! The onion soup was a bit sweet for our liking but we finished it regardless. Also had two very nice IPAs - one East coast & the other West coast styles. The wait staff was quick, pleasant, & smiley. We may stop again on the return trip!
Food is really good but portions are SMALL. $23 for Shepards Pie & it would have fit on a small saucer. Honestly, I was expecting something twice that size.
