My friend & I went here after being recommended by another friend! The food & service were not bad! The taste of the cleaning liquid that entered my mouth while I was eating the food! While the customers were eating, they were cleaning the floor by spraying the cleaning liquid! I thought it was only for a moment, but they continued to spray the cleaning spray & clean for about 30 minutes! We ate our food hastily & left! The taste & smell in my mouth, as if I had inhaled the cleaning liquid, lingered in my nose for about an hour! It was a terrible lunch! I don't understand how you can sweep the floor with a broom while the customer is eating.

Decided to try this place from a friends recommendation. The resto was pretty calm for sunday lunch. We opted for the grilled octopus plate that comes with salad, rice & potatoes. We also got the Portuguese chicken & rib combo plate that comes with fries & salad. To finish our meal off we ordered Portuguese egg tarts. Everything was DELICIOUS!!! All the meats were perfectly grilled & seasoned & had a nice charcoal flavour. The portions were also GENEROUS & the price was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend both dishes! Will be for sure coming back again!

Myself & the wife have been to Aquinta numerous times, a friendly owner & extremely motivated staff are always making sure we are taken care of. On our most recent outing however we had the pleasure of sitting at the bar with Luciano running it. The experienced bartender was knowledgeable, quick with a joke & his service standard was more akin to a 5 star French bistro than neighbourhood dining. Having spent 10 years in hospitality myself, I was pleasantly surprised to experience such a high quality level of service. Highly recommended, & if you see a silver fox behind the bar, I recommend you sit there.
The food was delicious & the service was perfect. I recommend reserving in advance or you'll have to line up! It's a bit tight & noisy inside but that's what makes it cozy!
Wow! What a lovely place full of such kind, helpful & loving people. My friend & I had been visiting Montreal for the weekend & had a really bad first day experience. But then we came across this place for dinner & we had such smiles on our face from the music, to the delicious looking food & kind workers. You feel the love in this family business from how they treat the customers to how they treat each other. Very pleased & we highly recommend!!

En fait, j'y suis allé parce que le bar L'Astral 2000 est juste à côté. Ce qui m'a donné le goût d'aller chez Aquinta, c'est parce qu'un ami qui habite proche m'a recommandé d'y aller. En jugeant par moi-même, je trouve que la bouffe est très bonne. C'est un endroit qui a toujours beaucoup de monde. J'avoue que ce n'était pas évident de me trouver une place. C'est client qui m'a trouvé une place & ensuite j'ai été transféré au bar pour manger par le personnel. J'ai remarqué que peu importe la hiérarchie du personnel les gens n'ont pas le temps de ne rien faire.
Je ne m'attendais pas à autant de qualité & de quantité avec ces prix là. Les grillades sont excellentes & la petite tartelette portugaise à la fin juste woau. (J'ai pris une boîte de 6 à emporter & il m'en en dinner 7) :) Je recommande vivement.
Excellent restaurant aux saveurs portugaises. Les ribs & les assiettes mixes sont délicieuses. Je recommande fortement les pasteis de nata en dessert qui sont très bon également

Sympathique resto de cartier, j'ai pris le club, portion généreuse, très bon, sauce maison épicé excellente. Je recommande mais réservé puisque c'est populaire!
Je recommande vraiment ce restaurant. La nourriture est très savoureuse, le service était très sympathique & les prix sont justes. La serveuse Sandra nous a servi avec une grande gentillesse, elle a été très cordiale & attentionnée. Nous lui attribuons, ainsi qu'à l'ensemble du service du restaurant, une note de 10 sur 10.
What a great surprise! I came here by accident & decided to take a chicken bbq to go. It was so good that I decided to come back today to try the Portuguese soup (kind of caldo verde which I love) & bacalau croquettes. OMG this the best bacalau croquette that I have tried in Montreal (I have been trying croquettes in different restaurants, & they are quite good). The salad is also good! (Simple salad like homemade lemon dressing). I recommend this place 🙂
