Great spot if you're looking for a restaurant without pretentions that does everything right & has been doing it consistantly for years. The portuguese chicken has just the right amount of char without compromising taste & tenderness. The ribbs are fall off the bone & the chorizo grilled perfectly to bring out its smokey flavors. The cod croquettes are a nice addition to the fried calimari plate, & the freshness was a perfect sidekick to cut off the fat of the latter. We had no room for dessert but we keep coming back, like everyone else as the place is always packed bit never loud. Its a great spot for any foodie looking for consistant food that never fails of quality without breaking your wallet. Service is discreet. 5/5

Cozy space with good food. The servers were very friendly & the food was delicious. The place was packed on a Sunday evening, we had to wait a little while to be seated even with a reservation. We tried the Portuguese steak & grill #1 & the Portuguese egg tarts. Big portions & seasoned well. Their house sauce goes very well with the food. Would like to visit again to try other items.
Favourite Portuguese chicken on Ontario street. Family run restaurant, been there for more than a decade, it's the place you go with family, friends, dates & even after church!
I only had experience through über eat, never been in their restaurant. I think it's one of the best Portuguese charcoal grilled chicken 🍗 in Montreal. Keep in mind though if you choose delivery they regularly forget items in the order like soda, natas or the salad side dishe. Of course uber refund but very frustrating still.
An excellent discovery for anyone who loves Portuguese cuisine! Definitely a popular resto - expect a wait on a Saturday night, which staff is well prepared to make you feel welcome👌
Food is fantastic, service is incredible at an unbeatable price! Can't wait to go back!

Aquinta is quite simply the best Portuguese good in Montreal. I've been there 3 times in the last three months & every time the food was delicious, fresh, & so plentiful. Ricardo & the whole crew is always on point & there isn't one moment that I didn't feel attended to. If you want some of the best comfort food around then come here. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

I would make reservations ahead of time or go during the week but great great place & my mom is coming for the holidays I often be taking her to this Portuguese restaurant highly recommend if you live in Montreal or if you ever pass through thank you guys so much for your great service & I will be back for sure.

Personnel incroyable, nourriture absolument incroyable endroit dont je parlerai à tout le monde & si vous ne connaissez pas ce Jim caché, vous devriez le vérifier. Je ferais des réservations à l'avance ou j'irais pendant la semaine, mais super endroit & ma mère vient pour les vacances, je l'emmène souvent dans ce restaurant portugais, je le recommande vivement si vous vivez à Montréal ou si jamais vous passez, merci beaucoup pour votre excellent service & je reviendrai à coup sûr.

Delicious food & great service! Particularly recommended the portugueses chicken poutine. The catch of the day is also very good. The portugueses potatoes are very tasty. Honestly a really nice neighborhood gem. The servers are very kind & friendly.
Aquinta was a restaurant in the extended neighborhood of our AirBnB & we thought we would try it one night during our stay in Montréal. Wow... I think I'm now in love with Portuguese cuisine! Amazing vibe & great BBQ style cooking... fish of the day is to die for. Reasonable prices & excellent service.
We live in NZ... such a long way to come back for seconds (but tempting 😉 ).
This is my go to restaurant to recommend in Montreal. It has everything you want in such an establishment. The service is always impeccable. The servers are accomodating & always helpful. The food is top notch. Portuguese rotisserie at its best. The place is clean & feels cozy. The price is very reasonable for such a high quality of food. I'm not the type to be a regular at a particular restaurant, but if I had to chose one restaurant to be a regular customern I would chose Aquinta without hesitation.
