I tried this Portuguese restaurant & found it has a nice vibe with solid food, enjoyable music, & live sports on TV. The marinated chicken, racks of ribs, & chorizo were tasty & paired nicely with their seafood options.
The atmosphere feels welcoming for the most part, though some of the servers were a bit off-putting. Watch out on the tipping screen-they put the 18% option right before the 15%, making it easy to accidentally select the higher amount.
Overall, it's a decent spot for a meal, a beer, & catching some sports on TV.
We visited Montreal last week & happened to discover this restaurant, & we're so glad we did! The chicken & ribs were absolutely delicious, & the staff were incredibly friendly & welcoming. We also loved the thoughtfully designed décor, which beautifully showcases Portuguese culture & heritage. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Montreal!
The food is good, & the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, the management & customer service are another story.
I arrived hoping to sit on the terrace & stood there waiting for several minutes. Staff walked by without even acknowledging me. It honestly felt like I was begging to be served. I was so close to leaving, but I stayed because my friend was already on his way to meet me.
Good food can bring customers in once, but good service is what keeps them coming back. A simple greeting & a little attention would have made a huge difference.

What a great family-owned Portuguese place! We had the pleasure of interacting with the owner's son, & I truly can't say enough good things about the service, the food, the atmosphere, the location, & the overall restaurant. We ordered the mixed platter, along with appetizers, wine, & dessert-everything was excellent! This spot is a definite repeat for us. Highly recommend! A++++++
Unser erster Abend war großartig: Das Essen war überdurchschnittlich gut und der Service top.Leider war der zweite Abend das genaue Gegenteil. Die Putenbrust war etwas zu trocken.
Viel mehr enttäuschte uns jedoch der Service: Wir wurden mehrfach gefragt, unseren Tisch zu verlassen und an der Bar zu Ende zu essen, weil man unseren zweier Tisch für 4 Personen haben wollte.
Zudem wurde uns eine kurze Runde Karten zum Zeitvertreib untersagt - zuvor nach der Bestellung war das noch kein Problem.
Der Service war zwar bemüht nett, aber das Gefühl, als zahlender Gast dann doch schnell durchgeschleust zu werden, hinterlässt einen sehr komischen Beigeschmack.
Schade um den anfangs so tollen Eindruck!
This place has become a staple for me & my girlfriend the last 2 years of coming to Montreal. Food is amazing & service is great. The Portuguese tart is a must try dessert. Highly recommend!
