This is my go to restaurant to recommend in Montreal. It has everything you want in such an establishment. The service is always impeccable. The servers are accomodating & always helpful. The food is top notch. Portuguese rotisserie at its best. The place is clean & feels cozy. The price is very reasonable for such a high quality of food. I'm not the type to be a regular at a particular restaurant, but if I had to chose one restaurant to be a regular customern I would chose Aquinta without hesitation.

Amazing food. The most authentic Portuguese restaurant in Montreal. I've had many dishes here. Chicken pork beef, the chicken wings. Even the drinks are amazing. You have to go & it's reasonably priced
Excellent, tender, & well spiced Portugese chicken. Great service, lovely ambiance, & fair prices. Fastest service ever with amazing food & wonderful service. Recommend reserving as it gets quite busy. Excellent atmosphere & shockingly good prices for the quality & quantity of food.
Decided to try this place from a friends recommendation. The resto was pretty calm for sunday lunch. We opted for the grilled octopus plate that comes with salad, rice & potatoes. We also got the Portuguese chicken & rib combo plate that comes with fries & salad. To finish our meal off we ordered Portuguese egg tarts. Everything was DELICIOUS!!! All the meats were perfectly grilled & seasoned & had a nice charcoal flavour. The portions were also GENEROUS & the price was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend both dishes! Will be for sure coming back again!

What a beautiful place. Very charming & Ccozy. The house red was amazing . Everything they do, they do extremely well. A local treasure. The fact they can offer this quality at these prices is truly magical.
the chokehold this place has on my family. the grilled octopus is my favorite. the plates come with potatoes & salad & rice & it is unbelievably delicious. the drink prices are pre 2020s inflation & I think that is beautiful. come here every time I'm in Montreal
Really nice Portuguese restaurant thats filled with good food, nice music, & the latest sports on tv. Marinated chicken, racks of ribs, & chorizos complemented with a mix of seafood mixes. The atmosphere is really nice, however some of the staff are passive aggressive. Nice prices , great food, & the chocolate cake are to be messed with !
I have eaten here several times & it has to be one of my favourites in Montreal - the ambiance is warm with lots of energy. The food is always great. & the prices are so so so good. There are few places in the city to eat a really good meal for under $20 & this is one of them. Definitely make reservations for dinners. Even on a Tuesday night it can be packed.
Awful service, while having good food at a fair price. Visited on June 4th dinner. The waiter was extremely indelicate, talking rude & pressuring everyone to decide what to eat. For most food requests he asked in a threatening way if the person was sure about the food being ordered. After ordering food, he took the menus away & 1 minute later asked: "do you want something else to drink or are you ok with water?" After all these unnecessary confirmations, from the 5 dishes ordered, one came wrong as he didn't write it down correctly. Quite unpleasant that a good food restaurant allows its waiters to behave like this guy & ruin their customers opinion
Amazing local restaurant you must go! I highly recommend you make a reservation. We just found this place on google so we had to walk in. They had no system for putting names/numbers down, no waiting list either so you have to wait there with the entire group hoping some table will leave soon. It was friday night & we waited about 20-30min, not a bad wait time since we were just two. All of their food were amazing & also the Portuguese white wine that the owner recommended was just great pairing well with our food. Their sea-bass was excellent. Their octopus & calamari dish was amazing too. Price range is great too!! So happy to see a place where they dont over price things. We will definitely come back & recommend to our Toronto friends. Btw, the egg tart was way too sweet for our tongue. 😂

Where to begin! Warm welcome EVERY TIME. It is really tasty , portion are more than enough. The price is cheap with 3 services, & most importantly the staff makes you feel like home.
I've been to restaurants in places like New York, Tokyo, or Singapore but if I have to choose a place to eat for my last meal, it would probably be Aquinta. The staff are so nice & the food is just perfect (& the price you probably can't beat anywhere else in Montreal). Ricardo included some really yummy bread the first time I tried this restaurant & a glass of dessert wine another time. I also had a shot of whiskey with one of the servers. I also lost my phone one night & all the staff helped me look for it. I love you guys, I have to come back soon 🥹🥹. I'll bring some Japanese whiskey next time. I recommend their grilled octopus & I really love how they make their rice.
Great cozy place, good service, nice food nice vibe. They even offer their homegrown grapes. The food portion is very generous for the price. One of those rare places that has charcoal grilled octopus. Very decent price overall for food & drinks. We went back recently in March 2024 & the place is popular as usual. They now have 2 services hours 6pm or 8pm. It's strongly recommended to reserve in advance even for 2, & expect slow service due to the busyness. Food still good & our server was nice.
