About

Antonietta centers its culinary focus on the vibrant traditions of Italian cuisine by emphasizing the preparation of authentic handmade pasta and wood-fired oven specialties. The menu showcases a commitment to regional flavor profiles through the use of imported ingredients like San Marzano tomatoes, cured meats, and artisanal cheeses. Diners encounter a space defined by its rustic aesthetic, featuring exposed brick walls and an open layout that keeps the production of dough and searing of proteins in plain sight. This approach ensures that every plate reflects the foundational techniques of Mediterranean cooking without unnecessary embellishment. The selection of dishes highlights seasonal produce alongside protein-heavy staples, creating a structured balance of texture and heat. Consistency remains the primary objective as the kitchen maintains a rigorous standard for every classic recipe served within this lively environment.

Review Summary

Antonietta is widely celebrated as a culinary gem in Montreal, known for its authentic and flavorful Italian dishes, particularly its highly praised pizza that features a perfectly cooked crust in various styles. Guests frequently highlight the cozy and intimate atmosphere, which many describe as feeling like a warm, welcoming home, while the attentive service and open kitchen view contribute to an engaging dining experience. Although most visitors enjoy the fresh ingredients, professional staff, and consistent quality of the pasta and desserts, there are occasional critiques regarding pricing, noise levels, and inconsistent service standards. Despite these mixed remarks, the restaurant remains a top recommendation for those seeking a sincere taste of Italy in a charming, neighborhood setting.

Originally wanted to sit & eat but my spouse didn't feel well so my son & I took off to get pizza- staff was very accommodating- ordered a Cacio e Pepe, they accidentally left on the Pepe so made another pie & gave it to us for free The staff loves what they do- they were great for such a casual interaction- I need to come back for a formal sit down dinne

A lovely restaurant cooking some of the better Italian-inspired food of Montreal. It is contemporary, in the way that it is refined, but the core Italian flavor profiles are respected, when & where need be, which is exactly what we should be looking for. To top it off, the service was superb (friendly, relaxed, & yet Pro, classy & educated) & their talented kitchen brigade cooks with precision, refinement & well mastered technique (the little things we tend to take for granted, sometimes, but that, at the end of the day, make food great.

Incredible pizza. It's thin, & crispy, with fresh ingredients. I can't wait to go back.
