Superb place to grab breakfast, lunch or brunch, as well as a really neat co-working or study spot. Just be mindful of areas where you cannot have your laptop open so as to keep space available for eating clients.
The space is also available for renting for events!View more
This place is gorgeous. Quite busy during lunch time but that's a given. My sister & I were kind of annoyed that it was so expensive, but when we started eating we understood why. It was worth every penny! Delicious & fresh flavors & fair portions. We had the kale salad & the shakshuka with coffees. Definitely coming back!View more
Cool downtown lunch spot. Not cheap but for the quality? I wouldnt expect it to be! Top notch pastry & Viennoisserie:)View more
I love this place for coworking. There are so many areas where you could work. During lunch time it gets busy since they serve lunch (which is a plus if you're spending the day there). Best matcha . For the ones having calls, it's not the most quiet place but it works pretty well as a coworking place.View more
Great spot in the golden square mile for coffee or lunch. Plenty of space in a very special setting - definitely worth a visit!View more
Love their matcha, pastries, chia seed pudding, & minestrone soup. It would be great to see more plant based lunch optionsView more
Great pastries & sweets. Amazing espresso drinks. Visited a couple of times as I like the atmosphere of this place. My avocado toast with smoked salmon was ok. I am used to the real avocadoes on the toast & this was a spread & kind of liquid. Overall, a nice place to visit for breakfast or lunch.View more
Great place downtown Montreal. Good for coffee & lunch. 5 a 7 are great too when there is a DJ.View more
Conveniently located downtown Montreal, it is a nice place to visit for breakfast, brunch, lunch or a coffee. Lots of room divided in different areas, so no worries to find a seating. We really enjoyed the « croque mademoiselle » for brunch with a nice latte. We'll be back to taste for items on the extended menu. Service was ok with the person that brought our plates, he seemed new & obviously lack experience in servicing. This is a self semi self service as you order at the counter & you get the coffee when it is ready while the food is brought to your table. Worth the detour!View more
Classy interior & lots of food options. My friend & I got avocado toast with lox & an iced latte for brunch & they were delicious! Heads-up though that it can get packed towards lunch time & might be waiting for a while for your food.View more
Nice for a tea time or morning coffee Too busy & noisy at lunch time We liked the NY rolls, with a nice London fog ! A lot of choice for savory or sweet food Plenty of seats as wellView more
View more
Stumbled upon this hidden café gem in downtown Montreal, & wow, it's a game-changer for business meetings! This place is not your average café - it's spacious, flooded with natural light, & has an unbeatable vibe that just fuels your productivity & creativity. It's perfect for escaping the office or those repetitive video calls. They serve up some delicious lunch options too, but here's a pro tip: schedule your meetings before noon. It's quieter then, & you'll easily snag the best spot before the lunch rush kicks in. Trust me, after a productive morning meeting in this energetic atmosphere, you'll be ready to dive into their lunch menu. Definitely my new go-to for business meet-ups in Montreal. It's like this café was made for brainstorming & deal-making, all while sipping on great coffee & enjoying the bright, welcoming space. Don't just take my word for it, experience it for yourself!View more

Améa Café is a great place to go for lunch. It has a really nice atmosphere, the food is excellent & is beautifully presented. The aubergine dish was outstanding as were the fattouch & panzanella salads. The pecan pie was also delicious. Sasha, the manager went above & beyond to make up for one of the meals that took a long time to be served. His professionalism & helpfulness was greatly appreciated. Will definitely be back!!
Amea is one of the most beautiful cafés I've ever had the pleasure of walking into, even the bathrooms were designed by artists! Michael Coppa's skills shine through his pastries. His menu is also full of savoury options too if your planning to stay for breakfast & lunch, which you definitely can, their venue has ample too for you to sit & stay a while.View more
Cute spot to work at but needs more charging ports for computers & gets quite bust during lunch timeView more
Well decorated. Pleasant, efficient service. The porchetta sandwich was delicious, especially with the cacciocavallo cheese. Croissant Supreme (the strawberry cheesecake one) was a bit much for me but would definitely be open to trying their other pastries. Seating is limited so I would avoid the lunch rush, thankfully someone was willing to share their table.View more
Amea, located in the former Alcan building on Sherbrooke, is a surprisingly large yet intimate resto-café offering expanded selection of pastries & sandwiches for weekday breakfasts & lunch, as well as an excellent selection of premium coffees. On weekends there is an expanded brunch menu with a variety of hot dishes.
For our meals we chose Mushroom Avocado open face sandwich (very good), the Shakshuka (very good, a little on the runny side but with lots of fresh herbs...a interesting take but still good), & the Avocado Pomodoro open face sandwich (also very good...lots of tomatoes!). The coffee options are extensive & I had an excellent Americano.
Ordering is done at the counter (somewhat like a cafeteria style), after which a table number is provided to you & then you sit at any available table you like. There are a large number of tables as well as several two-person "shelters" (a banquet style table with a roof) to which the meal is brought to you. Overall a nice albeit somewhat busy place to have a brunch or quick meal. Enjoy!View more
Great location for quiet time or a business meeting. Great choice of drinks, pastries, & lunch.View more
On the ground floor of the Zu co-working space in Montreal, the building where Amea cafe is located is adorned with art work, installations, & sculptures which add to the lively ambiance.
Some seating areas have electric plugs which make it easy to get some work done. There are also booths for a bit more privacy (the electric plugs don't work in all of them).
Quiet in the mornings & bustling from lunch & throughout the afternoon.
Cafe, food, snacks, alcoholic drinks, coffee, etc. There is something for everyone.
The place is clean & well kept.
The washroom area have individual stalls for everyone to use.
Prices are average across the city.View more
