wine(35) vin(16) tortilla(16) taco(15) chef(14) dishes(13) mexican(13) pairing(12) prix(11)Unique experience! We went there for my birthday & took the 9 services couple with natural wines. Every plate was unique & tasteful. We found a new way to eat mexican food 😍Voir plus
Easily one of the most meaningful meals I had in Montreal. The waiter takes you by one hand & the cooks by the other, & they walk down this beautiful road with you! Thanks for this amazing experience. 🙏Voir plus
Great atmosphere, delicious food, wonderful service. Thank you so much! We had a perfectly lovely time!Voir plus
It was our first time at Alma, & it's safe to say that we will be coming back. We went for the Menu Carte Blanche & everything was really good! However, what made the experience top-notch was Muriel's service. She really took great care of us. She went into detail explaining each dishes & each wine to pair. Overall, very great experience!
J'y retournerais assurement!Voir plus
We got the tasting menu, food very well presented, but portions & flavors were not at its best. We had an apéro before going to the restaurant & after the end of dinner we ended up good in terms of appetite. I can imagine someone going with an empty stomach not having a good time regarding portions. Overused the olive oil in many dishes, lacking acidity on others, two steps were too salty & one dish didn't even have the black garlic mayo (described by the server, when I asked him where the black garlic mayo was located in the taco he pointed me out some fried crunchy pieces of garlic in oil) if you run out of an ingredient communication between kitchen & front of the house is basic so the server will give the proper excuses before & not making him look like a fool.
Some dishes were over seasoned (too salty). The portion is small as you are sharing a small plate for two people on the majority of the dishes.Voir plus
Tapas style & creative. If you have dietary needs be sure to check first.Voir plus
Enjoyed an amazing 9 course tasting menu paired with unique wines from small batch wineries from the Basque regions of Spain & France. Staff very friendly & service was exceptional. If you're looking for a delicious & artfully created menu with excellent service, look no further. Truly a special experience.Voir plus
We were almost scared away from this spot due to some recent reviews but I'm so glad we weren't. Undoubtedly lucky enough to experience top notch restaurants when traveling for work & this was one of the best meals we've had in a long time. The tastes, the quality, the music, the wine, the service. Couldn't have been better. Don't sleep on Alma.Voir plus
Absolutely superb - A++ on atmosphere & menu! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable meal.Voir plus
Amazing place in the world! Super people, super team, super food & super Mediterranean wines! Enjoy!Voir plus
Service & vibes were excellent. Food was overall pretty good, but could use some more refining. For example, the shrimp taco was very bland, the tetala could have used more sweet potato, & the beef tongue had wayy too much mayo. However, the corn madeleines & queso fresco were delightful, & we loved the crudo. The portions were tiny, we had the 9 course menu for 2 & it felt like we split a set course for one. We had to eat elsewhere after, despite paying 280$ already.Voir plus
Visiting Alma was one of my top dining experiences ever. A well curated tasting menu, wonderful drink pairings both alcoholic & non alcoholic. The service was incredible, attentive & knowledgeable staff served the dishes & explained each one. We sat at the counter & had a great view of the kitchen & food prep. A very small & intimate dining experience makes sure you get a reservation in advance. We'd been interested in eating here in a previous visit & couldn't get a reservation. However it is more than worth the wait & the hype!Voir plus
Beautiful inside & out! Wonderful food, excellent service. Thank you for an unforgettably delicious experience!
Had a wonderful experience here & was very happy I got to experience this restaurant. I tried a few years ago when I was in Montreal & I wasn't able to get a reservation. It was worth the wait the food was fantastic, a very creative fused menu with excellent service. The ambiance was also great. Low light with a lot of candles. It's a very small restaurant so it feels very private. Hats off to the chef for putting together a fantastic tasting menu.Voir plus
Excessivement dispendieux (très) & service incroyablement long service.
