Review Summary

Allô mon Coco is described across reviews as a place with a bright new setting and a strong breakfast vibe, but opinions are split on portion size and value, with some noting smaller portions while prices stayed the same. Service is praised in several visits for friendliness and attentiveness, though other experiences report rude or slow service, mistakes with orders, and delays even when the restaurant is not very busy. Food quality ranges from excellent breakfast dishes and generous portions to complaints about burnt eggs, cold potatoes, missing items, and meals that do not live up to expectations. Ambiance and cleanliness vary, with some enjoying a clean, welcoming environment and others describing worn seating and dirty bathrooms. Opening hours are praised in some reviews for starting the day earlier than nearby competition, but that benefit is not universal. Across the board, many customers would return for breakfast and the overall menu, yet a number of reviews urge improvements in service consistency, portion sizing at some locations, and upkeep of the dining area.

Prompt service, large portion & food presentation was great. The toast was delicious other food items are ok. The blueberry pancake was dense & not very sweet.

First of all, you get greeted by a sweatpants wearing teenager who graciously makes time for you by stopping her social media for a few minutes. She is wearing tennis sneakers & looks like she just came back from gym class. We are offered the worst seats in the busiest location (where there should not even be a table, frankly) & when we ask to be seated in one of the many empty tables she says it is reserved, but no one is there at 2 pm (& no one show up there the entire time we ate!). We get seated at a high table, order & the food arrives quickly. But, no utensils & no check on us (you know, the usual "is everything to your liking..") despite the fact that we are clearly not eating. Finally, I request utensils & the missing toast (no butter, please). The utensils arrive immediately but the toast is drenched in butter. Frankly, the entire experience was something that felt like a fancy McDonalds. Kids for staff who have no experience & lots of plastic decor. If I am to spend almost $50 bucks on two coffees, a breakfast plate & 1 side of potatoes (fancy & yummy, I must admit), I would rather go elsewhere. It was just not worth the value. Fifty bucks & I only ordered 1 full meal (2 eggs, a smallish dessert crepe, & forgettable extras on the side). In summary, I like the food at this place, but the experience (service & ambience) & the bang for the buck is just not there.

We been going to Allo Mon Coco Cote-Vertu for the last 4 years ones or twice a week for breakfast before starting to work. Even during the covid, we use to go there for take out. always been amazing. But I don't know what happen during the last year... Now, we only go ones a week. The cube potatoes are never really hot, Bacon you have to be lucky as well. Eggs are always good. BUT THE TOAST, you always feel like they put the all bread in the toaster & they put butter as they need it. Its very disappointing. What happen? Did they changed the cook? the way of doing things? anyway, I guess its time for us to try another place.
