I've been craving sushi for a while, & I finally satisfied my craving at this spot! Hands down, the best sushi place in the West Island-fresh ingredients, amazing flavors, & top-notch presentation. If you're a sushi lover, this place is a must-try!
We had dinner here for our 20th anniversary & the food was sublime, & service was attentive. Excellent experience & cannot be compared to all you can eat sushi. The quality here is at a higher level, fine dining experience. The dessert was a decadent rich chocolate mousse topped with vanilla ice cream & chocolate sauce. We left very happy.
It's a hit & miss. I had take-out once & that was good but when I went to dinner in the restaurant & it was subpar. All the deep fried sushi was soggy. Given the price on premium rolls, it was really disappointing. Service was great.
Been coming here over the last 3-4 years, 2/3 times a year. You will find excellent plates in the specialties. Stick to it. A bit more expensive than regular orders, but those, you can get anywhere 😉. Among the best sushi places in Montreal that I know. A++
Aikawa Sushi has quickly become my go-to spot for Japanese cuisine in the West Island. The minimalist aesthetic, with soft lighting, creates a tranquil atmosphere.
I've visited this place several times now, their sushi is truly exceptional & beyond the sushi, it also offers a selection of other Japanese dishes.
The staff is friendly & are always happy to offer recommendations & explain the different dishes.
Reservations are highly recommended.

January 5, 2025- Excellent! We have been eating there more or less regularly for five years. We went back on January 5, 2025 & it is always as EXCELLENT. The tables are sufficiently spaced - The level of background music is in good taste- so you can spend a very nice time with friends while enjoying excellent sushi & other Japanese specialties. The staff is very attentive to your customer's needs. That is the best place in the West Island to eat great sushi & invite friends. Prices have increased as everywhere else, but they reasonably increased & the high quality of food & service as well justify this increase - The same thing cannot be said of other restaurants (sushi or else) where the bill is enormously increased without improving neither the quality of meals nor the service. & when these places have INCREASED the bill a little bit, they have greatly REDUCED the quality of meals, the quantity of what is in your plate & the service. Do the math & you'll understand what is reasonable & what is not.
I was greeted at the door by the cashier with a big smile I met the owner was very nice & one of the waitresses we had a great sense of humor & I needed something in a soup form because of my C situation & they were nice enough to blend their soup for me & I took it for take out & brought it to one of their competitors in the bag with a big smile on my face & said don't worry about me I got my soup & great service sorry I don't have you guys names but I will eventually post them great service & really nice place to have sushi enjoy my friends... By the way the soup was excellent thank you chef

High end sushi place. Great ambiance, service is above average but I had better sushi for $100. Suited for business meetings or when you are going a special date.
Excellent service, fabulous food. For a large busy restaurant it was an unexpectedly quiet atmosphere which was very enjoyable. You could hear each other talk. There are an abundance of staff all doing a job professionally. Server, water, clean-up during the meal & delivery of the food was never neglected or forgotten. Hats off to the sushi chefs! Remarkable!
Never disappointed with this sushi place.( West Island montreal) Super tasty, clean & great service. My number one place to go for sushi Highly recommend it
The best place for sushi. The food is fresh, tasty & the presentation A1. The staff is simply the kindest, very polite & respectful. On top of it the owner is really a true gentlemen that cares about his customer. Not the same quality... rude service & not fresh as before. I'm sad because that was the place we like the most. I think the owner sold.

Sushi is fresh & well made. Environ is clean & simple, professional. Service sometimes lacks attentiveness but is kind & welcoming. Reasonable prices for the quality & location. I make it a point to eat here when visiting - very enjoyable.
My go-to special sushi experience! Always fresh & delicious, their new location is perfect for a special lunch, or adate night. Service was excellent, Renee is always friendly & welcoming.

OMG the best sushi I have ever tried. The special rolls are all heaven. We tried all & could not get enough. Its nice to have new flavors to try. Yes a little on the pricey side but so worth it.
