sushi was fresh & présentation ok. spicy rolls' flavours not harmonious (bland with a sudden zing from flavoured mayo) & service was attentive but felt amateur. also - some rolls' composition did not match description (example: 17$ fire & ice roll description promises a roll with a layer of mango on the outside, instead there was a barely visible /detectable quantity in the roll). not bad but not rushing back any time soon...
Hands down the best sushi in the west island. The chef's specials are wonderful & the Besame Mucho is to die for! Always been please with the service & nice atmosphere. They also do take out & special events. Have gone back again & again. Only thing is you have to be ready to spend money, especially if you drink. But totally worth it!
Beautiful & elegant restaurant, great atmosphere, subdued music, a perfect place for a romantic diner. The food was very good, although I was expecting a little more originality in the sushi. The dessert was very original, the highlight of the diner. The service was good. The price was fair.
Went for a first date, perfect ambiance! Quiet, dimmed lighting but bright enough so that you can still see the food in your plate, which I was thankful for because the plating & food was gorgeous. It is very nice that you are seated quite far away from your neighbour. A bit pricy considering that I was expecting to be blown away, as I had been told that it is the best sushi in the West. I can say that I've tried it out, but I'll stick to other places in our area that are more affordable & tastier in my opinion.
When I was reading reviews saying the best sushi in west island honestly I was doubting. When I tried the bessame mucho I realized that people were right. The sushis have a very particular delicious taste here. There are indeed excellent

The best sushi place in Montreal. I am very often there because of the excellent service, the ambience, the atmosphere & the courteous staff. If you are around please ask for my favorite one the besamme mucho
For in Montreal sushi has a unique address it’s at this restaurant. The sushis are great & the service speedy. Really appreciate eating in this Japanese ambiance!
In their website, Aikawa shows a video of the making of this amazing sushi. When you actually eat it, you just fly away into the clouds & realize that the video is an understatement to how good this food is. Try it & you will never eat at another sushi parlor anywhere else in this world.
Really a very nice place. This is far better than sushi, this is cuisine. I mean I am a sushi eater, & some places you just can't trust. But at Aikawa, I have been served the best meals ever. Amazing sashimi cuts, delicious tempura.. everything is just superb.
Ce restaurant sert les meilleurs sushi de l'Ouest-de-l'Île. A chaque fois que j'y vais je ne manque pas de commander mes préférés bessame mucho. C'est tellement bon!
