Great Brazilian food. The Feijoada, famous Brazilian dish consisted mainly of beans stew with jerked pork & sausages is a must. The coxinha, served as a starters, a small delicacy fried & filled with shredded chicken is so flavorful that you cannot miss . Don't forget about the caipirinha drink & you'll have a wonderful Brazilian experience in Montreal.
Comida saborosa, feijoada mais light e nao é pesada, só sentimos falta de um vinagrete pra acompanhar. Mas o local é bem legal e comida boa também. Pedi um suco de maracujá que estava uma delícia, bem docinho.
Nossa experiência no restaurante Acajou fois simplesmente incrível, do início ao fim. Fomos recebidos com um atendimento excepcional, e cada prato nos fez sentir como se estivéssemos no Brasil. Começamos com uma entrada de pastel, que estava maravilhoso, e coxinhas perfeitas. Em seguida, pedimos um bobó de camarao, uma feijoada e um prato de iscas de picanha com mandioca frita - tudo impecável, saboroso e muito bem servido. O dono e a dona vieram até a nossa mesa nos receber pessoalmente e bater um papo, o que tornou tudo ainda mais especial. Todos os atendentes foram extremamente gentis e atenciosos. Sem dúvida, vamos voltar e recomendamos para todos que queiram uma verdadeira experiência brasileira em Montreal!
Our experience at Acajou was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed & every dish made us feel like we were in Brazil. We started with delicious pastel & perfectly made coxinhas. Then we had shrimp bobó, feijoada, & grilled picanha strips with fried cassava - everything was flawless, flavorful, & generously served. The owners came to our table to greet us & chat, which made the experience even more special. All the staff were incredibly kind & attentive. We'll definitely come back & highly recommend Acajou to anyone looking for a true Brazilian experience in Montreal!

Everything there is excellent. From the service to the food! If you like Brazilian food or if you don't know yet, I highly recommend Acajou! The feijoada is amazing & the picanha platter as well.
Had the feijoada here, it was absolutely delectable. My wife & I were unsure about whether we'd like it or not so we asked to share it & our server was very accommodating about that. The mixed drinks at the bar are very well made! Definitely worth trying something with dinner.
L'ambiance y est chaleureuse, & le patron vous invite à sortir des sentiers battus. Vous aurez peut-être l'occasion de découvrir sa délicieuse feijoada accompagnée d'une authentique caipirinha.

Excelente atendimento e comida impecável!!! Valeu super a pena ir lá e matar a saudade do tempero brasileiro. Pra quem gosta de feijoada, é uma das melhores que já provei!!!! Excellent customer service & really great food. For those who are curious about Brazilian good, that is for sure a great restaurant which represents Brazilian cuisine. Go there!
I grew up in Brazil & since leaving the country in 1978, have visited Brazilian restaurants in Mexico, New York, Washington DC & other cities. Acajou is the BEST, most authentic one of all, hands down. My wife had the feijoada & pao de queijo & I had the risoles & moqueca. Childhood memories came back to me of my days in Sao Paulo. Absolutely fantastic food at reasonable prices.
Delicious & affordable grill plates! We both had the picanha; about 10 oz steak that comes with feijoada, rice & some crunchy things (no idea what it was, but it was tasty!). Don't be fooled by the appearances, this plate is very filling (& flavourful)!

A comida em si estava boa, um pouco salgada, provamos a feijoada, a farofa deliciosa e o arroz idem. Única coisa desagradavel fois que parecia que a gente estava numa estufa/defumador os olhos ardiam, uma fumaça insuportável, como se nao funcionasse o exaustor. Uma pena...me senti mal e louca para querer sair dali.
Je suis allé souper à ce restaurant avec des amis & de la famille. Vraiment, c'était super! Le Feijoada & le Picanha étaient délicieux, tout comme les Bolinho de Bacalhau & les Coxinhas. Le service était aussi super, & les employés très gentils & sympathiques. Mon seul reproche: la ventilation dans la cuisine n'est pas assez puissante (ou alors elle marchait mal ce jour-là) & il y avait de la fumée dans le restaurant (ça ne m'empêchera pas d'y retourner).
Le restaurant brésilien Acajou est un incontournable à découvrir en ville. En tant que passionné de cuisine brésilienne, je peux affirmer avec certitude que c'est le meilleur restaurant de la région. Les boissons sont un véritable voyage en plein coeur du Brésil, rappelant l'ambiance chaleureuse & festive du pays. La picanha est tout simplement fantastique, parfaitement préparée & savoureuse. Les paes de queijo sont incroyablement délicieux, un vrai régal pour les papilles. Sans oublier la moqueca & la feijoada, qui sont tout simplement superbes, offrant des saveurs authentiques & réconfortantes. Le personnel est accueillant & attentif, contribuant à une ambiance conviviale & agréable. En résumé, si vous cherchez une expérience culinaire brésilienne authentique, ne cherchez pas plus loin que le restaurant Acajou.
