Abu El Zulof is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, lively, & authentically Middle Eastern. The food is outstanding fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was delicious, especially the mezze, grilled meats, & traditional specialties.
The service is excellent: friendly, attentive, & professional, making you feel truly welcome. The live music & entertainment add a special touch & create an unforgettable dining experience.
Whether you're going for a dinner with friends, a celebration, or a night out with great vibes, Abu El Zulof is the perfect choice. Highly recommended we will definitely be back!
Abu El Zulof is a great spot if you're looking for authentic Middle Eastern flavors done right. The food is fresh, well-seasoned, & clearly prepared with care. Portions are generous & the quality is consistent across the dishes.
Wow! Amazing experience, will most definitely be going back. The food was delicious tasteful & authentic, the service was warm & attentive & there was even a love show around 1030!
I love this place. Food & vibes are great & very authentic ❤? the staff are super helpful & friendly. Always trying to accommodate everyone.
Perfect spot for authentic Arab food. Ola made our experience amazing & the food was great!
We were visiting from the U.S. over Thanksgiving & had our holiday meal here.
Ola & Elias were warm, welcoming & spoke with pride about the food, which was amazing. Authentic ingredients & preparation. Prefect for a family celebration.
Highly recommend & look forward to returning someday. So many more dishes to try!
Great food, even better service. We were here for the first time & Ali was very helpful with the menu & the recommendations, spot on. The meat platter is a must. Ward was also serving us & she was very timely with he food & patient with a big group. Place is highly recommend, great vibe, nice decor, comfy seats, spacious, welcoming, generous & most importantly authentically tasteful.
We visited the place for lunch. Tried Mansaf along with some sides. The portion sizes were generous- in fact an order for two can easily feed three. We sat on outside patio which was a great experience. Overall it was a pleasant experience. If you want to experience fine dining authentic Arabic food, certainly this is a place to visit.
If you're looking for authenticity this little gem will never let you down. The food is delicious, citrusy, flavourful all served with kindness & empathy. I loved my experience & will def be back!
For appetizers, we had the cheese samboosak as well as creamy hummus with fries & fresh tabbouleh - a perfect start to the meal. For the main dishes, we ordered mansaf, kebab karaz, & chicken with herbs - each one was flavorful, beautifully presented, & cooked to perfection. The mansaf was rich & authentic, the kebab karaz had the perfect balance of sweet & savory, & the herb chicken was so tender & aromatic.
To finish, we shared an Arabic ice cream plate with arabic cotton candy - not only was it a feast for the eyes, but also the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal.
The service was attentive, & the atmosphere made us feel right at home. We'll definitely be coming back! Highly recommended.
(Late review, we went in April 2025)
The best part is definitely the belly dancer & the ambiance. The belly dancer is only performing on Friday & Saturday, late at night (around 10:30-11 pm?), & this'experience' has to be specifically reserved. You get a taste of the more authentic Syrian restaurant style with music & dance.
Food was good, but not wow. It was also pretty expensive for the value. Not that surprising given its location though. The restaurant is very loud, it is hard to communicate & order food.
Good for special events & the'exotic' factor.
We've now been to Abu El Zolof twice, & both times were a blast - but this past weekend was extra special as we chose to celebrate our friend's birthday there, & it was the perfect choice.
The place is spacious, clean, & beautifully set up for a lively night out. Right from the moment we walked in, the energy was great - you could feel that everyone was there to have a good time. The staff was welcoming, professional, & the service overall was smooth & attentive throughout the night.
They recently made a few changes to their set menu. Now it's $75 per person, & for that, you get a full mezza spread followed by BBQ kebab platters. Let me just say - the food was delicious. Every bite brought back familiar Lebanese flavors that felt both authentic & fresh.
We enjoyed everything from the fattoush, tabouli, hummus, baba ghanouj, & mhamara to the perfectly made kibbeh & wara2 3inab (stuffed grape leaves). These two classics were especially tasty - the kibbeh had that perfect crunch on the outside & was juicy inside, & the grape leaves were soft, tangy, & flavorful.
The grilled meats were also a hit - tender, juicy, & well-seasoned.
If I had to suggest anything, it would be to add a couple of hot mezza dishes (like soujouk, makanek, or rakakat) to make the menu feel even more complete & rich - especially for the price point. But that's just a suggestion; the overall quality of the food was excellent.
This is where Abu El Zolof really shines. The singer was absolutely amazing - great voice, engaging, & knew exactly how to get the crowd going. The atmosphere turned into a full-on celebration with everyone clapping, dancing, & singing along.
To top it off, they had a belly dancer, & she was incredible - full of energy & talent, really elevating the whole experience. It's clear that they put a lot of thought into the entertainment, & it makes all the difference.
Whether you're looking for a spot to celebrate something special or just want a night of good food, music, & dancing, Abu El Zolof delivers. We had such a great time that we're already thinking about going back again.
Highly recommend this place for a fun night out - Lebanese-style!
Best Ifar menu of the year 2025 with super delicious Frikeh & mezza. I highly recommend this restaurant for its authentic mediterranean food. Thank you chef Raymond!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Abo al Zoulof restaurant & it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality & made to feel right at home. The service was exceptional - Ali & Sana were so attentive, friendly, & incredibly professional, making sure every need was met with a smile. Now, the food - where do I even begin? The flavors were absolutely divine. Every dish was a perfect blend of authentic spices & fresh ingredients, showcasing the best of Arabic cuisine. From the tender kebabs to the perfectly seasoned hummus & the rich, aromatic rice, everything was cooked to perfection. Each bite was a celebration of flavor, & it's clear that the chefs here truly know their craft. If you're craving mouthwatering Arabic food & a dining experience that makes you feel like royalty, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I recently visited Abu El Zoulof on Crescent Street, & it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The ambiance was warm & inviting, with amazing Middle Eastern music that instantly transported us to another world. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, & went above & beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was simply outstanding authentic, flavorful, & beautifully presented. Every dish was a burst of flavors, from the fresh appetizers to the perfectly spiced mains. It's clear that a lot of love & passion goes into their food, & it truly made the meal unforgettable. If you're looking for a place in Montreal with great vibes, delicious Middle Eastern cuisine, & a welcoming atmosphere, Abu El Zoulof is a must-visit! Highly recommend to anyone wanting a memorable dining experience.
We accidentally saw this place when visiting Montreal, & we fell in love!! Clean & very authentic. Amazing staff & so attentive to little things, but most of all, the food is so tasty & with a great presentation. Just an FYI, plates are good portions & not cheap, but totally worth it. It's on our to go to list whenever we're in the city.
Amazing authentic Syrian cuisine, Their Muhammara & Mutabbal are the best in town, the decor is amazing. 💯 recommended
Wonderful authentic food. Great atmosphere. Service was friendly, but inconsistent attention.
I recently visited this wonderful Syrian restaurant in downtown Montreal, & I have to say, it was an exceptional experience. I ordered the Mansaf, & it was simply amazing - the flavors were rich, & the lamb was incredibly tender. It was a perfect representation of authentic Syrian cuisine. What made the experience even more enjoyable was the vibe of the restaurant. They were playing Fairuz in the background, which added a beautiful & calming atmosphere to the meal. The design of the restaurant was also impressive, with cultural hints
