The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, with attentive and friendly staff and a view of the kitchen counter that many guests enjoy, plus a strong drinks program. While service is usually warm and professional, a few visits note moments of being a touch inattentive during peak times and some prices feel high for the portions. Overall the restaurant reads as a neighborhood gem, with oysters, dumplings, crudo and other standout plates that balance bold flavors with refinement, and many guests look forward to returning to try the rotating menu.
We were charged a dish extra & a glass of wine we hadnt ordered. They gave us a bit of soju to make up for it but they were clearly understaffed with 2 waiters & the 2 chefs for the whole packed restaurant on a Saturday night. Waiters were good & did their best tho. The chefs are really good & some of the dishes are exquisite (gnocchis, fried oyster), others are more just deep fried with no presentation like the pleurotes. Overall bill was 140$ for a bottle of wine & 4 dishes which is more pricey than other similar restaurants. Not bad but bit great either. Appreciated it but will not return.

Honestly, 9 tail fox is ridiculously underrated. The best food, service & atmosphere you can possibly ask for. Justin provided my girlfriend & I with the best service. We will definitely be coming back & will recommend this spot to anyone that asks!
Since our discovery of 9tailfox a few weeks after its opening, we have been raving about this place to anyone who's listening. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Montreal, hands down! Amazing cooking, charming staff, creative dishes & a cozy atmosphere! You will love it!
Unexpectedly, amazing. We reserved last minute. The restaurant is not too big. We ordered almost the entire menu. The other plates we wanted to other was sold out for the night. Everything was good!
My favourite asian fusion restaurant. I love how they change the menu seasonally while keeping the classics. The duck confit risotto is to die for, the raw oysters & the fried ones are fantastic well. Only downside is maybe the dessert, would love to see a change in the dessert menu. Keep up the good work! We love bringing our friends & family here

This place is a gem. The food is melt in your mouth AMAZING! You eat well & feel great. The flavours, the portions, the service, the atmosphere are all done to perfection.

The food was perfectly prepared, bursting with flavor, & beautifully presented. The ambiance was chic yet cozy, creating the ideal setting for a memorable evening. What truly set the experience apart was the outstanding service. Justin went above & beyond to ensure everything was perfect. My friend & I loved every morsel, from the baked oyster to the sticky bun to the fried chicken. Really yummy! What a pleasant surprise. Definitely will recommend to friends :)
