Second visit for me. This time with the whole family. Amazingly 3 generations loved absolutely everything we ordered. & we ordered alot! Excellent cuisine & best of the best when it comes to service.
I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but we're still talking about how sub-par our experience was, one week later. It felt like the real cooks were on holidays, & as if we landed on rookies... last Friday (early December). We were quite disapointed by the lack of flavor, in what was supposed to have some. & the burnt taste of cauliflower in what should have been one of our favorite dish. This should not have been served as it was, & I'm sure that it's great when done right...but not this time. The sauces were bland & the drinks were basic. Service was...below standard. Sucks, since we live very close & were hoping to find our new favorite place. Not sure we'll ever go back. Probably not.
The waitress made a mistake with the bill & wasn't checking up on us if we needed anything else. We would have ordered double the amount of drinks if she did.

The most delicious meal I've had in Montreal recently. Every dish was better than the one before & all beautifully presented. A perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a wonderful meal.
Cute new place in Saint Henri. While the waiter made a mistake in our order we were offered a drink on the house. all the dishes were good & nice portion to share. The oysters were very good & well seasoned. The calamari with sweet potato soup & the dumplings were my favourites !

J'y retourne régulièrement car je sais que tout va être parfait. Tous les plats que j'ai pris hier soir étaient délicieux les huîtres, dumplings, crudo & la soupe épicée aux fruits de mer. Service rapide & professionnel.L'ambiance est aussi agréable, pas trop bruyant, on peut parler. L'intensité de l'éclairage est aussi savamment dosée. Réservation conseillée.
Plats originaux & raffinés à un prix raisonnable
Service souriant & efficace. Tout ce qu'on aime lorsqu'on va souper au restaurant. Une très belle découverte

Nous avons trouvé la nourriture de bonne qualité & bien travaillée. Tous les plats n'étaient pas de même niveau, les plats de poisson étant largement supérieurs. On s'attendait à peut-être plus pour un repas à 200$ & plus & surtout d'un restaurant en lice pour le meilleur nouveau restaurant du magazine enRoute d'Air Canada.
Où ça devient problématique est au niveau du service. Dès notre accueil on se fait refuser une table car soit-disant l'autre table peut accueillir plus de convives (les deux tables ont les mêmes dimensions, mais situées à des endroits différents dans le restaurant). L'autre table sera occupée au final par un plus petit groupe que le notre.
Une des premières choses que notre hôtesse nous mentionne est le temps alloué à notre souper. Disons qu'on aurait pris moins de pression dès le départ. Plusieurs accros ici & là durant le service, mais peut-être mentionner aux hôtesses de manger de la gomme en s'adressant aux clients. Ça fait pas très professionnel. Le comble reste toutefois la mention que notre repas était terminé exactement 4 minutes passé le 2 heures alloués & ce malgré le fait qu'aucun client n'attendais pour notre table. On peut de bon jugement serait de mise.
Malheureusement, ça ne saura pas partie remise pour nous au 9 Fox tails. On a pas la chance de faire deux fois une première bonne impression.
