786 HALAL RESTAURANT an ultimate Pakistani restaurant best for family and friends get together, parties & celebrations, business lunches, conferences, marketing & promotional launches, press conferences and many more.
Overall, 786 Restaurant Halal receives broad praise for flavorful authentic dishes, generous portions, and a warm welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff, with many diners returning for biryani, naan, curries and other Pakistani and South Asian favourites. Several reviews highlight standout food quality and good value, though a few dishes fall short, including reports of undercooked kebabs and a butter chicken that did not meet expectations. Service can be attentive but occasional hiccups appear, such as missed orders and one incident of being charged for a mango lassi that was later corrected. A serious safety note is raised by a parent after a child choked on a small piece found in the food, prompting a push for stricter cleaning and spice preparation. Inflation and price changes are mentioned, but overall the restaurant is seen as a solid option for halal fare in Montreal and a place many would recommend.
We had a friends gathering yesterday,we ordered from 786 halal restaurant. One of the worst veal karahi I've had. It looked dry & like leftovers, & they even refused the left overs of sekh kebab to replace it with veal. Really disappointing, not recommended at all. I ordered 3 fish, but they were also left overs from yesterday, they were cold & bit smelly too we ordered chicken karahi which was also too bad.we spent more then 130$ at their restaurant but we have to ordere from another store too, because our guests didn't like the food.

The fish was not fresh it looked like it was left overs of days ago it was disgusting & I didnt even eat the rest of the food & normally I love fish & ill never eat here again
We've always loved this restaurant & their food - it's usually delicious & we enjoy coming here.
However, today we had a very scary experience with our 2-year-old daughter. She was simply eating plain rice when she suddenly started coughing. Then we noticed some blood coming from her mouth. She kept putting her finger inside her mouth & couldn't swallow.
I checked with my phone light & saw a small, sharp piece (like a branch or unground spice stem) stuck in her throat. I had to act very quickly & carefully put my hand inside her mouth to remove it. It was a very stressful moment as a parent - no one wants to see their child in pain & bleeding.
Thankfully, I was able to remove it in time, but this could have turned into something much more serious.
I hope the restaurant takes this seriously & pays closer attention to cleaning & preparing spices properly. Small things like this can be very dangerous, especially for children or elderly people.
Bad portions that are definitely not worth the price. The pricing definitely doesn't match the quality/portion ratio of the food.
The service is okay & the restaurant atmosphere is also fine. The staff are quite nice & friendly.
However, the portioning is absolutely horrible.
Cela fait plusieurs fois que je mange ici & j'ai toujours apprécié l'endroit. J'ai toutefois remarqué un léger changement dans la qualité de la nourriture, mais l'ensemble reste satisfaisant. Je donnerais 4/5.
I ordered chicken Karahi & beef kababs. Karahi was okay but kebabs were uncooked & dry. The waiter also took order for mango lassi but never delivered & I thought she forget so no issue. After paying the bill, luckily I asked for receipt & mango lassi was charged on my bill. When I pointed it to the counter lady, she provided me ready made mango lassi( drink as you go). I was very disappointed to the service.
My husband & our 3 other couple friends dined out last Sunday. It was the perfect place. We were all seated together, there were high chairs for our toddlers. The food was delicious & the service was great.
786 staff were friendly, service & greeting was on point. unfortunately the food was not. Butter chicken was not butter chicken.
Lamb Karai was not Karai. The only thing that we may have enjoined was the Chargha chicken & then the karak chai. Kheer also was not up to par. Shame.
