I've been coming to 786 ever since I was a young child, so I've definitely seen how the quality has changed over the years. I recently visited while I was in Montreal, & unfortunately, I have to say that the food quality has gone downhill.

The food was very bland & lacked the flavour I remember from years ago. It also felt like the menu & overall experience are now more geared toward French-Canadian locals rather than staying true to the authentic flavours & tastes of their own community. Extremely disappointing & don't recommend them as you can find better Pakistani restaurants in Montreal.

Amidst a crowded street of Indian & Pakistani spots, their butter lamb & chicken tikka BBQ pieces stand out the best as the best dishes.

Food was cooked perfectly. Staff & owner were all friendly & helpful! Everything was clean. Our experience was amazing. Will definitely be back soon!

I honestly don't understand some of the negative reviews about the service. My experience was completely different. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, polite, & attentive. Our waitress was friendly professional, & made sure everything was going well throughout the meal without being intrusive.

The service was quick, organized, & the whole team seemed to genuinely care about the customers. Of course, every experience can be different, but based on my visit, I really can't agree with the comments saying the service is bad.

We ordered a chicken seekh kebab, & chicken tikkah BBQ, the fried rice is so tasty!! Everything was perfect & delicious!!

I had a very pleasant experience & would definitely come back again. Sometimes it's better to experience a place for yourself rather than judge it only by the reviews.

Absolutely amazing experience at 786 Halal Restaurant! The food was genuinely incredible - I had the butter chicken & it was easily one of the best I've had. It was so flavourful, rich & creamy, & everything tasted fresh & perfectly cooked. The portions were great too & the food came out looking & tasting amazing.

What made the experience even better was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming & attentive from the moment we arrived. The service was excellent throughout & they really made us feel looked after, which makes such a difference when dining out.

The atmosphere was also lovely - warm, comfortable & welcoming, with a really nice family-friendly feel. Everything was clean & well presented, & it was the kind of place where you can actually relax & enjoy your meal.

Overall, such a great halal restaurant in Montreal with delicious food, amazing service & a lovely atmosphere. I would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for good halal food in the city. I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm in Montreal again!
