Really enjoyed my visit to 786 Halal Restuarant in Montreal! The food was super tasty & felt really authentic. Portions were generous & fresh. Big shoutout to our server Sarah who was super friendly & made the whole experience even better. Will definitely be coming back!
I like the curries. One item was really good, forgot the name. Butter chicken was okay but not like other Indian restaurants. The chicken biryani they served was not cooked properly. Rice was half cooked & little hard. I told the waiter while paying she said it's always cooked like this,I felt like I never had (ate) biryani 😀😀😀). She didn't even apologize.

Best Halal Food in Montreal, one of best taste for halal butter chicken not to much spicy. Taste good with garlic naan. Best way to order just order butter chicken once it arrive then order naan as separate. Then you'll also get white rice 🍚 they come free otherwise it quite expensive.
Before returning to Toronto me & my wife went back to this restaurant second time three years later to try their fish which was delicious.
Yummy food was served by friendly staff in a timely manner. We ate fish, palak paneer, seekh kababs, boneless tikka with naan &
fried rice. Salad & raita was included. We also ordered Chicken biryani for takeout.
Every dish was of the highest quality & not a single one was oily like several other places I've been to. Mango lassi is highly recommended to start off. Who could leave without dessert..I ate warm & fresh Gulab jamans. Souf (Fennel seeds) was available free of cost for customers to digest the meal.

The chicken tikka masala wasnt as spicy as expected & the naan is a bit thick but its good

Loved my time here. I originally went during iftaar time & the staff were very accommodating & timely in their food delivery. Everything tasted great & the food portions were fair.
They also have a prayer area which I really loved.
Awesome.testy . Halim &nihari &biryani are unique. Great service. Chef wahid malik is best. As well my family love the unique 786 restaurant.ohh ya in last we had was fry fish . Different than elsewhere
I ordered chicken roll special of the day 6$ each , to have it for iftar . Masallah the wrap was bigger then usual & the chicken was on every bite, I cannot express my gratitude only dua came from the deep of our heart . In this time where you cannot get anything in 6$ I truly felt it was a generosity for Ramadan Thank you very much .
We eat veal karai & veal Sabji, that is awesome, naan bread is fresh & flavourful. The waitress are so active & follow each table friendly, Really good experience, we will come back again for sure
Starting off, someone was there to receive us as soon as we entered the restaurant. The waiters were really nice & the atmosphere was good as well, apart from the old furniture & a part of the cushion of my dinner booth was sagged inside. We ordered:
1- Chicken seekh kebab, which were the highlight of the dinner.
2- Matar Paneer, not spicy at all but not much flavor either.
3- Nihari, the flavors were good but the texture wasn't; it was like I could still feel the raw flour.
4- Mango Lassi, 🥭 was a delight.
5- Garlic Naan, perfect!
