49th Parallel Micro-Torréfacteur Cafe opens its doors in Montreal at its first ever location outside of British Columbia in the summer of 2021. Finding and creating this space was a long, occasionally challenging but always interesting process that took over a year to complete!
The space itself, its location in the heart of Old Montreal and the building’s history were an obvious draw. This was a labour of love from all the people involved in the project, from the contractor to the designer – everyone came together to preserve the charm of the old building with its exposed 100 year old bricks and stone masonry while bringing it to life with a sleek retro design.
Our fourth Café features the 49th coffee everyone knows and loves, Lucky’s donut menu revamped with reimagined Quebec classics and a full kitchen featuring breakfast egg burgers and seasonal brunch offerings (coming soon).

Doughnuts place from Vancouver. The doughnuts are really good. Many options to choose. Coffee is not that good, from my personal opinion. I ordered latte & feel like they put too much milk that it looks like milk with coffee flavor. Parking available with the fee along the streetView more
Located right on McGill Street, this spot offers some of the best coffee & donuts in Downtown Montréal. With a perfect ambiance, it's a must-try for anyone visiting the area.View more
The Brioche Canelle was divine! & coffee was great, but i guess some of the staff weren't having a good day..View more
I really enjoyed my visit to Parallel Café. The salmon toast & Croque madame were absolutely delicious-fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. The pricing was excellent, especially considering the high quality of the food. The café itself was spotless & had a modern, inviting ambiance that made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food in a clean & stylish setting!View more
Many sitting places to take a coffee & pastries. They have so many different options & interesting flavours. I got pudding chômeur & it was GOOD. I find a price is ok for the size of donut, good customer service & relaxing ambiance.View more
A vibrant & quite energetic looking cafe, i went looking for some donuts & found some really great looking ones here. The staff was okay, straight to the point, i got my donut & left, eager to eat it once i got home just a mere walk away. I realised though, that the donut's icing was quite.. moist? For lack of better word, & the fact that its put into a paper bag foretold a disaster! & as was foretold, the donut did not intend to provide me with a satisfying experience, as pictured. I tasted the icing though, & it was sweet! It would have been really good if it wasn't... like this. I tried a bit of the donut as well & it was already quite stale. Perhaps this was never meant to be a good experience to begin with :( a true shame. I would have loved to try their other flavours at the time but it was already empty at around 3pm. Would have given another chance if i were still in montrealView more
Délicieux autant les cafés que les beignes & scones! Ce n'est pas donne, mais ça vaut quand même le détouView more
Top coffee & donuts, staff is real friendly, probably one of the best places downtown. I really like the Venezuelan coffee, it's a bit sweet but a must in my opinion. The food is pricey I find but it never disappoints. The donuts & croissants are standouts. The atmosphere is great, lots of room to sit & it's very clean. Definitely a must for downtown coffee drinkers, there's a lot of good options & this one of the best.View more
Le café latté m'a été servi presque froid. Longue attente pour un café (15min) Lorsqu'on rentre on ne voit pas tout les gens qui attendent en arrière.View more
The coffee shop always is crowded in every part. But it is the franchise coffee from Vancouver, every cup is delicious!View more
