On the evening of May 15th, our family of six embarked on a culinary escapade to 3 Amigos Montreal, & what transpired was nothing short of a delightfully memorable experience, seasoned with laughter, charm, & a generous sprinkle of guacamole.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a host who can only be described as the embodiment of charisma-an older gentleman with a twinkle in his eye, a sharp wit in his back pocket, & the welcoming warmth of an old friend. His impeccable hospitality set the tone for the evening, transforming our dinner into a lively & laughter-filled gathering.
The food? Sublime. Each dish arrived bursting with vibrant flavors, artfully plated & generously portioned. From sizzling fajitas to perfectly spiced enchiladas, every bite felt like a love letter to Mexican cuisine. The children found joy in the colorful presentations, while the adults savored the depth of the seasonings & the evident care behind each dish.
The atmosphere buzzed with the kind of festive energy that makes time slip by unnoticed, yet each moment was savored. It was more than a meal-it was a joyful celebration of togetherness, wrapped in tortillas & dipped in salsa.

This used to be one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, & I would come here often because I really enjoyed the food. However, the last time I visited, the taste & quality just weren't the same. The meat had a really off flavor, which was disappointing.
It was close to closing time, but that shouldn't be an excuse for compromising on food quality. If keeping the quality consistent is an issue, it would be better to close the restaurant earlier rather than serving subpar dishes.Voir plus

Located right on St. Catherine Street it seems like this place would be better & busier. It's not bad but just okay. Chips & salsa are free, chips are obviously packaged, the salsa is okay but again unlikely it's made in house. The food was fine again run of the mill. One of the best food experiences in downtown!! We ordered empanadas, tacos, burrito basket, quesadillas, chimichangas, enchiladas, & much more in both veg. & non-veg options!! The nachos on sides were soo good!! The food was delicious & the ambiance just elevated the dining experience.
If you're looking for Mexican cuisine, this is the best place, make sure you have a reservation if you're in a group, especially when visiting on weekend or if you're ready to wait for a while because this experience is worth it!

The highlight, however, was definitely the cocktails-they were some of the best we've had! Each one was expertly mixed & packed a punch, making it hard to pick a favorite. Whether you're a fan of margaritas or looking to try something new, you won't be disappointed. Service was friendly, although it got a bit slow during peak hours, which is the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. This place whether it's the one at old port or laval. Never had disappointed me & my family. 3 amigos is THE BEST MEXICAN 🤩restaurant in Montreal for me.
