⭐?⭐?⭐?☆☆

1001 Nuits is absolutely beautiful inside… the décor & atmosphere are its strongest features & make for a lovely dining experience. The staff were friendly, & the owner was welcoming, which I really appreciated.

Unfortunately, the overall experience felt quite disorganized. Several menu items weren't available, & ordering through the QR code system wasn't seamless. Even after entering our order in the app, some items never showed up, creating confusion & delays. To top it off, they told us they couldn't make the waffle ice cream cones because they had run out of flour.

The food itself was the biggest disappointment. The General Tao chicken was overwhelmingly salty & lacked the rich sweet-&-savoury umami flavour you'd expect. The fried rice was dry, & the pineapple fried rice was served on a regular plate instead of inside a pineapple as advertised, which was misleading & took away from the presentation.

If Gordon Ramsay walked into this kitchen, he'd probably try to rip the menu apart… except there isn't one-it's a QR code. Instead, he'd probably rip apart the ordering system, the lack of organization, the unavailable items, & the inconsistent execution. Even Uncle Roger would likely take one bite of that fried rice & say,'Haiyaa… so dry!'

The restaurant has incredible potential because the atmosphere is stunning & the staff are genuinely kind. However, the kitchen needs to focus on flavour, consistency, & delivering what's advertised. One final piece of advice: don't always trust influencer hype. Sometimes the photos & videos are more impressive than the actual dining experience.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our overall experience, particularly the quality of the food, the long wait times, the customer service, & the ordering system.

We were a group of seven, & after being seated, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone came to serve us water. Since no one had explained how ordering worked, we had to ask a staff member. We were told we could either order à la carte or choose the all-you-can-eat option. Once we made our decision, we were given a QR code to place our orders.

What wasn't explained was that every item ordered through the QR code became part of one shared order. For example, if three people ordered the same dish, it would all arrive on a single plate. We ended up eating from the same dishes without realizing they actually represented multiple individual orders. Once we understood how the system worked, we placed another order.

From that point on, we waited more than 25 minutes for each round of food. The service was inconsistent-some dishes arrived quickly while others took a very long time. Throughout the evening, we repeatedly had to ask staff to refill our water, check on missing items, or follow up on delayed orders. Overall, the experience felt disorganized & confusing.

At one point, we asked a staff member why the service was taking so long. He explained that four of their chefs were stranded in Gaspé & were unable to make it to work that day. He apologized & asked what items we were still waiting for. I also showed him the restaurant's most recent online reviews, including one that had been posted just five minutes earlier describing similar issues. After that conversation, the service improved somewhat, but by then much of the evening had already been affected.

To finish our meal, we ordered ice cream, only to find that most of the flavours were unavailable. The only options left were red bean & chocolate.

Overall, the experience was very disappointing. Between the confusing ordering system, slow & inconsistent service, limited menu availability, & underwhelming food quality, it did not meet our expectations. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant based on our experience.

Service: 1/5
Barely any interactions you order via QR code.
Interactions were minimal & cold.

Drinks: 4/5
HK Milk tea carried this place
should have HOT/COLD options but taste is on point.

FOOD: 1/5
Nope, I came expecting a HK style diner.
I was let down this, this isnt it.

Also food quality needs work.
For main I ordered the Beef curry spaghetti.
What I got was room temp & the curry didnt look as advertised. It had a layer of oil on top, taste was no good & the beef tasted like lamb. I dont like lamb so this pretty much ruined it for me.

I sent it back for a General Tao, im glad that they use big chunks of chicken, but the chicken itself with batter was soggy, letdown here was the bowl of rice it came with. It was cold & the top layer was dry & hard.

Also got the fried rice it was room temp & one side of the plate was over seasoned with salt which ruined a decent amount of the serving.

General consensus foods coming out is room temp not piping hot like it should. Gives me impression of reheated stuff thats premade, heated & served.

There is still room for improvement.
Best of luck.

Visited 1001 nights for the very first time & the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Very clean, well organised seating & friendly staff. I really liked the ordering method using the QR code to view the menu & place your order. The food didn't quite hit the mark. The meat in all of our dishes was incredibly 10/10 tender though one of the items ordered was the lamb chomps & they had quite a bit of fat on them & the veggies seemed to have little to no seasoning. The other dishes we ordered including a shrimp & chicken pad Thai & 2x the beef noodles, as well as the meatball appetiser - all of those dishes, the meat was incredibly tender & the noodles were well cooked. Despite those elements the overall flavors didn't really come through to the way I would expect & at the price point they are at averaging $23-27 per main. The flavors were more like that of a simple home-cooked meal. The portion sizes were good, not exceptionally large but not small either. I will probably give it another try to test out a few more things like the general Tao & fried rice before ultimately deciding if this restaurant will be in my rotation. Overall, this place has so much potential & it's clear the owner has made every effort to make the customer experience enjoyable & he's certainly excelling at that, but I think the flavors in the food are pulling his efforts down. Hoping honest reviews will contribute to meaningful changes because I definitely think there's so much potential for this place.
