The Best Places to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in 2022!

After 2 years of absence, it is with great pleasure that we see pubs, bars, and restaurants open their doors again to celebrate the Irish holiday: St. Patrick's Day.

Most of the celebrations in restaurants and pubs will take place from March 17th to March 20th.

The St-Patrick's Day parade in Montreal will be held on Sunday, March 20th, 2022, you will find more information here.


This small speakeasy with a 1920s theme will open its doors in the morning on March 17th and 20th to start the St. Patrick's Day celebrations. On the 17th of March, the speakeasy will open at 10 am and on the 20th of March (the day of the parade) at 9 am. Throughout the week, they will be serving classics like Irish coffees, green beer, festive shooters, and cocktails created for the occasion. Take advantage of the time to try one of their many scotches, whiskeys, and original cocktail recipes! The bar will be fully decorated and various contests will be held on-site. This is a great place to party in the heart of downtown Montreal.

The Cale is joining the festivities with a hearty brunch, Irish coffee, and a band playing traditional music on Sunday, March 20th at 9:30 am. For $25, you'll have the choice of a vegan or meaty meal option. Reservations are strongly recommended by phone or email. At the Cale, it's a great opportunity to celebrate in an eco-friendly way!

This 100-year-old Peel Street landmark became McLean's Pub in 1992. Since then, they have celebrated many occasions including St. Patrick's Day. They will be hosting singer Mark Baker from Carlow, Ireland on Thursday and Friday night. On Saturday, watch the Scotland vs. Ireland rugby game and the Canadians game in the evening. For the parade, they will open at 8:00 a.m. with breakfast, drinks, and coffee. Starting at noon, a band that has been with them for 30 years will be on hand to entertain your afternoon. A festive place for both sports and traditional Irish music fans.

McLean's Pub


For people of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue and surrounding areas, Cunninghams Pub is the place to go for the best celebrations around. According to Halle Barry, they serve the best hot wings in town, no less! On March 17, it's all about live music starting at 4 p.m. with lots of prizes to be won. On Friday, various fundraisers will be organized on-site with music starting at 11:00 am. On Saturday, there will be traditional dance and music performances that you can sing and dance to on-site. There will be several Jameson and Guinness prizes to win. 



From March 14th to 20th, you can celebrate St. Patrick's Day at any of the 7 Ye Olde Orchard Pub & Grill locations. These friendly Celtic pubs will immediately get you in the mood. Baileys will be $6 and $16 for 4 shots of Bushmills. A special menu will be available for the festive week.

Ye Olde Orchard Pub


With two Irish taverns in Montreal (Hochelaga and Verdun), you will be sure to find great St. Patrick's Day celebrations. They offer over a hundred beers, whiskeys and Scotch to explore during your visits. There is a rotation of Quebec beers on tap as well as private European imports. No reservations are possible, it's first come, first served.


The Verdun branch will open its doors earlier on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. You can enjoy a hearty Irish brunch starting at noon. On Thursday, a live band will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. On Saturday, enjoy brunch with the band. In the evening, Jameson's team will be raffling prizes and providing entertainment. At 9:00 p.m., another band will be on hand to get you dancing and singing. By the way, there will also be the sugar shack event on Wellington, if you want to combine the 2 experiences!


The Hochelaga branch will continue its brunch on weekends starting at 10 am. On Thursday, it will also be possible to enjoy the Irish dish starting at noon. There will be a traditional Irish music show and entertainment with the Jameson team on Friday from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.   

Le Trèfle


If you feel like celebrating in the city's oldest Irish pub, Old Dublin is the place to go. On March 17th, there will be traditional music bands starting at 3 pm. They accept reservations for lunch only from 11 am-2 pm, after that it's first come, first served. On the day of the parade, they will be open from 10 am and the music will start at 1 pm. Get there early to get a seat at a very popular spot in town!

Le Vieux Dublin Pub


This famous European pub in the Entertainment District is the perfect place to go to celebrate St. Patrick's Day from March 17 to 20, 2022. For the occasion, specials will be offered such as green beer for $5 a pint and Jameson's shot for $3. On Sunday afternoon, the band "Irish Bastards" will be on-site playing Irish music until the early morning hours. Several giveaways will be held on-site! Reservations must be made by phone and via their Facebook page. Be sure to return in the summer for one of the most beautiful terraces in the city.

Pub Sainte-Élisabeth



As soon as you step into one of McKibbin's locations, you feel like you're in an Irish pub. A warm atmosphere, beers on tap, a wide variety of whiskey, and live bands. Not surprisingly, they open their doors at 8 a.m. March 17th through 20th to start with a $20 Irish gourmet breakfast served with Irish coffee. If you prefer to join them in the evening, starting at 5 p.m., there will be live bands and DJs. If you're hungry, enjoy their themed menu available for St. Patrick's Day. Don't forget to call to reserve your spot.

Mc Kibbins Irish Pub


The Pointe-Claire branch is also offering a variety of activities. On March 17th, enjoy an Irish breakfast and coffee from 7:00 am to 10:30 am with the Celtic band Mariner's Curse. From 3:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., various groups will accompany your festivities. On Friday, March 18th proceeds from the luncheon will be donated to the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence. Starting at 5:00 p.m., enter to win several prizes with the Jameson Ambassador who will be on hand. On Saturday, March 19th, a band will be playing starting at 10:00 pm. Call to reserve your spot!

McKibbin's Irish Pub Pointe-Claire


Located on Belanger Street, One Punch Mickey's will celebrate its grand opening in conjunction with St. Patrick's Day on March 17. This new Irish pub belongs to the same owners as the Cobra Tavern and the Snowbird Tiki Bar. You will find a trendy place with many Irish beers and whiskies. A party not to be missed in Rosemont!

Located on Saint-Denis in the Latin Quarter, Patrick's Pub is the place to celebrate in style in the area. On March 20th, reserve your spot at the famous St. Pat's brunch starting at 10 am. There will be live Irish music, Irish breakfast and coffee, green beer, lots of Guinness and Jameson, and an afternoon Quiz to test your Irish knowledge.
