Roch le Coq and Cantine Bati have each built strong reputations in their respective cities. We would like to take this opportunity to highlight their unique backgrounds and describe the exclusive item prepared for this occasion. The concept of Roch le Coq comes from Chef Oussama Ben Tanfous and his childhood friends during a party. Roch le Coq uses only premium ingredients including chicken from the Voltigeurs farm. Their slogan is "faites l'amour, pas la diète," which roughly translates to "make love, don't diet," this can be felt in their menu and the two locations: Outremont and Chabanel. Fried chicken is definitely a popular dish and among the most ordered on the DoorDash app. They are one of OUR FAVORITES IN TERMS OF FRIED CHICKEN IN MONTREAL.
Chef-owner Sao Khuon took over the family business after graduating. His parents created Bati Bassac after emigrating from Cambodia's civil war in the 1970s. They were among the first in the city to offer fine Asian cuisine featuring alcohol in Quebec City. In 2018, Sao decided to open Cantine Bati to offer a more casual setting and take-out options.
From these two ventures comes a burger and poutine specifically designed and available only for DoorDash users.
