Restaurant Yuukai (Japanese fusion) on the popular and busy Avenue du Parc, serves affordable Japanese and Sushi dishes.
Sit back and enjoy the Maki rolls, Sushi, Sashimi and other tasty dishes on the menu and don't forget to Bring your own wine or Saké! Rare for a Montreal Japanese restaurant, but Yuukai allows diners to bring their own wine. Local Delivery as well as take-out is also available.
With its refined décor, white walls and small wooden tables, many will find it a very Zen-like atmosphere. The welcoming and friendly staff will surely make you want to visit Yuukai a second and third time.
Yuukai Sushi draws praise for exceptionally fresh, flavorful sushi and creative recipes, with salmon dishes and sashimi noted as standout and the presentation described as beautiful; many reviewers call it among the best sushi spots and appreciate the BYOW option and the small terrace that adds appeal. The overall impression is positive regarding food quality and value, with several diners noting friendly, attentive service and a welcoming, neighborhood vibe. However, some visits reveal inconsistencies in service and timing, with complaints about delays, misfires on orders, and in one instance an uncomfortable interaction with a younger waiter that soured the experience. A few critics feel the menu is limited or the specials hard to see from certain seats, though others insist the chef's creativity and fresh ingredients justify the trip and that the restaurant remains worth visiting for those seeking distinctive sushi. In sum, Yuukai Sushi is frequently described as fresh, tasty, and worth a visit for those who value quality ingredients and BYOW, while service reliability and menu clarity vary by visit.
Hands down one of the best sushi i've had in my life. So much flavour profile im their menu & the variety & uniqueness is unmatched. I recommend strongly.
I think it's the best sushi in Montreal. We had the spring rolls & the tuna tartare to begin with & we had sushi as the main corses. We loved everything we had & everything is fresh. Definitely a place you must go, because the service was also A+. We really enjoy our experience & will go back for sure. Oh yes, very important, you can bring your own wine ;)
J'ai commandé une sélection de sushi en livraison & ils étaient excellents!! Le poisson était délicieux, les goûts fins... Rien à redire. Les prix sont au-dessus de la moyenne mais ça les vaut.

Do you know Yuukai in japense means Kidnap? It in deed kidnapped my stomachache while we are there & my mind now while I m writing the review. We have ordered all the popular stuff! The most amazed dish is:Mont fuji! Cipse at the bottom, soft at the top which provides the combination for the different texture. All the sushi roles we orders are good, sunshine, special K & Thon deluxe. When we dined in they also have Uni. Hmm yumyum! So fresh However I find the sushi pizza is a bit dry. Service is good & atmosphere is good Best part is: BYOB & price is not toooooo expensive! Very affordable. Friends ordered to go right away to share with her family Will definitely go back again & partyyyy
This is one of the best sushi restaurant I've been too. I've been here many times & I always let chef Karl decide my dinner. What's amazing is Karl attentiveness to details & his creative dishes. The specialty dishes are really really good. My friends & family always come out very satisfied. Price is very reasonable for the quality. Did I mention its a BYOB? I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a more refined Japanese/sushi. Enjoy!
I love this place, prices are affordable, food is delicious, service is great & our waitress Lina was top notch! . We had the beef sashimi, the calamary, Mont Futji, Ocean Roll, Salmon Exotique & Torche Salmon. Everything was delicious & great! Highly recommended Bring your own wine restaurant!
