Restaurant Yuukai (Japanese fusion) on the popular and busy Avenue du Parc, serves affordable Japanese and Sushi dishes.
Sit back and enjoy the Maki rolls, Sushi, Sashimi and other tasty dishes on the menu and don't forget to Bring your own wine or Saké! Rare for a Montreal Japanese restaurant, but Yuukai allows diners to bring their own wine. Local Delivery as well as take-out is also available.
With its refined décor, white walls and small wooden tables, many will find it a very Zen-like atmosphere. The welcoming and friendly staff will surely make you want to visit Yuukai a second and third time.
Yuukai Sushi is widely praised for incredibly fresh fish and creative, well presented dishes, with many reviewers noting that the sashimi and nigiri are top quality and the salmon dishes especially tasty; the atmosphere is described as pleasant and welcoming, and the option to bring your own wine with a small terrace adds to the appeal; service is generally friendly and efficient, but some visits mention long waits between courses and uneven timing, with occasional lapses in attention or professionalism; while a few reviews find the menu limited and the prices high for the selection, others consider it one of the best sushi spots in Montreal and a standout in the Plateau.
Ordered takeout, not the best but not the worst, very plain taste to everything, not impressed, wouldn't order again, we tried almost everything but the ingredients didn't pair well together, it didn't taste authentic, everything tasted the same
This is one of my favorite sushi spots in Montreal. I recently visited with a friend, & we were both impressed by the exceptional service & the high quality of the food. Though it's a smaller, more intimate restaurant, their menu features a curated selection of nigiri & maki, & every bite was fantastic. The prices are reasonable, & the cleanliness is impeccable, making for an all-around enjoyable dining experience.
Incredible sushi, wonderful service & a great atmosphere. The fish was the best I've had-very fresh & flavorful with soft texture. We mostly had nigiri & it was the best tuna & hamachi I've had. They told us they have been there 20 years & treat their ingredients right. We ended up going 2 nights in a row it was so excellent. & the service was great. Be sure to stop at the wine shop around the corner, they have a great selection of local wine too
