I discovered Yufuku Restaurant last weekend, & what an incredible surprise! The food was absolutely delicious & beautifully presented. Every dish looked like a work of art & tasted even better.
It was so impressive that I asked the chef Francis if he could prepare a sushi cake for my daughter's birthday. I sent him a picture & he created the most stunning sushi cake & 2 sushi platters. They were fresh, creative, & absolutely delicious. He also made a special sushi roll named after her'Elena'. Such a thoughtful & personal touch that made her celebration unforgettable.
I also highly recommend The miso soup, the Fukuyu salad & the tacos, they are simply divine.
I want to thank the chef Francis for his kindness & for exceeding my expectations. Thank you to Bren, the friendly & warm waitress, for her lovely service. The entire experience was exceptional.
This place is truly a gem & I highly recommend it!
Justin Trudeau made me Discover this place. The best thing he ever did. Amazing sushi. My wife Said:'wow'. She Never does. Worth it, a must
We had a fabulous dinner & the sushi & sashimi were super fresh, unique & delicious. The sauces were amazing. Our service was the best of the best. We highly recommend this little jewel on Monkland. Kudos to the chef.
This place is the rock in NDG & in Montreal: no sushi compares to this place. Top of the line, so fresh., so complex.
One of NDG's best sushi restaurant - super creative, delicious sushi'tapas', great service. Special mention for Geisha & Ocean sushi (the top two on the photo - the other two are Autumn & Oshi)
This sushi restaurant is not your regular sushi place - it is a special gem! It is by far THE most meticulously made sushi using only freshest high grade fish & sushi ingredients. You really cannot compare to any other place in the city. Please take the time to come & try it out- the owners are fantastic & talented. Please support our local businesses- they are keepers!
I'm a local resident & patron- we love this place.
We first tried this place during Imagine Monkland where they were serving some delicious pork skewers under their tent during the Monkland street fair. After looking at their menu we just had to try their other items & we were not disappointed. They have a very original menu with a take on Japanese tapas style dishes that are made to share. The highlights were the Tartare Tacos & the Giant Shrimp, but everything was very tasty. We did not try the sushi & we didn't even get to try any of the specials, so we will be back to explore the menu further.
One of the best sushi places I've been to. I have been to some pretty good ones including Park; Sushi Okeya Kyujiro; Hidden Fish & Kitano Shokudo. I would put this place in front of them all for the following reasons:
1) When I go out for a meal I like to feel full & satisfied at the end of the meal.
2) I like to be in an atmosphere which is friendly; welcoming & relaxing.
3) I want top quality & quantity in other words value for the money spent.
4) I want to be surprised & delighted.
Yufuku fit the bill on all these criteria.
I would highly recommend the Sashimi Platter & the Sushi Aburi in particular.
I would encourage sushi lovers to give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.
It was wonderful the people were nice & the food was top notch before I didn't like sushi before but now I love it
We came hungry, left completely content & full. Great little space in NDG to grab quality sushi. The edamame was perfectly cooked, & sushi rolls were beautifully crafted.
It was our first time here, but we'll be coming back our next sushi craving 💙✨?
Food is so good, much better than in many'high end' Japanese restaurants & for less than half price, very creative sushi & generously sized sashimi. We didn't try tapas but will try very soon Also , variety of quality sakes
It's quite modest, but nevertheless pleasant place , but, I repeat, food is excellent
Best sushi on Monkland & around mtl.
Cute little spot with fancy flavorful food.
For tapas, we had the tartare tacos & takoyaki (20% off because it was during their 5 à 7 happy hour), followed by the geisha, the explosion & the kumokani sushi. We also had the lychee punch cocktail which fresh & sweet). A plus, the water is flavored with fresh lemon.
All the food was flavorful & a good quantity.
The service was wonderful, attentive, & informative (the waitress was able to answer our questions & describe the different options).
Although the space is small, the tables & seats are well organized, so people have room, there's also 2 cute sitting tables near the windows. Nice atmosphere but nothing special, it's all about the food.
Prices are reasonable for the food, bit on steeper side for someone looking to stick to a budget.
✌?
Great place! Food was fantastic & service was great. We often eat at various sushi restaurants in Toronto so we decided to try Yufuku (as recommended by a friend) when we were in Montréal this past weekend & were pleasantly surprised. Our two kids loved the Japanese fried chicken & we enjoyed what we ordered which are shown in the photos. We had the wagu nigiri (one of their specials), soft shell crab, taco tatare the assorted torched donburi & the Geisha roll. Definitely coming back when we're back in town!!!
I had an amazing dining experience at Yukuku Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, modern, & inviting - perfect for both a casual night out or a special dinner.
The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, & full of authentic Japanese flavors. The sushi was top quality, especially the salmon sashimi.
Service was another highlight. The staff were friendly, attentive, & knowledgeable about the menu. They made great recommendations & ensured we were well taken care of throughout the meal.
Overall, Yufuku restaurant exceeded my expectations. Great food, excellent service, & a relaxing atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back soon & recommending it to friends!
We have taken friends here on numerous occasions & we have always had an outstanding meal from Yufuku's imaginative kitchen. It is near impossible to not want to score a nibble from your friends' plate, such is the beauty of the dishes.
Service has always been heartwarmingly friendly which for me is as big a draw as the excellence coming out of the kitchen.
While the entire menu is amazing, highlights include: soft-shell crab tapas, takoyaki, & any of their sushi choices (seriously).
Third time here, & always incredible. I saw another review re: the prices. The prices are more than fair for the quality, labour-intensive preparation, & freshness of ingredients. The specials change regularly, & everything on the menu has an element of surprise & magic in flavour & texture. From the specials, we ordered the black sesame udon w/ cremini mushrooms & tofu, beef tataki, salmon & tuna nori roll fried in tempura batter; from the menu, we ordered the octopus salad & the fried ice cream. The salmon & tuna nori roll in tempura was outstanding: I could have eaten this all night. The beef tataki was so tender & perfectly seasoned with a slight kick, & the udon was a truly unique. The salads are always delicious: I look forward to the wide assortment of flavors, textures, & ingredients. As usual, the sauces are phenomenal. My boyfriend loved the fried ice cream, but I was too full to try it!
2nd review: (I think I accidentally erased it, but basically we ate dinner & brought along my MIL. I loved the ramen: the broth was beautifully deeply flavoured - perfect for winter. Tacos were as amazing as I remembered from our first visit, the salad delicious, & the scallop sushi from the specials was orgasmic. The dessert sushi was such a fun surprise! It was the perfect way to end the meal: fresh, fruity, just sweet enough, cool, & colourful.
1st review:
Absolutely mind-blowing. We ordered tacos tartares, soft-shell crab, grilled calamari, the geisha roll, the Yufuku roll, the Kumokani roll, the scallop explosion, karaage, yuzu cheesecake, & the croffle with ice cream. Try as we might, we were unable to choose favourites - it was all outstanding. The freshness & quality of the ingredients are unmatched. The presentation is delicate, thoughtful, & stunning. The signature sauces alone are worth returning for. We highly recommend & are definitely going back!
De?icieux plateau de sushis. Grande fraîcheur des produits. Service aimable.
Je reviendrai
