I discovered Yufuku Restaurant last weekend, & what an incredible surprise! The food was absolutely delicious & beautifully presented. Every dish looked like a work of art & tasted even better.
It was so impressive that I asked the chef Francis if he could prepare a sushi cake for my daughter's birthday. I sent him a picture & he created the most stunning sushi cake & 2 sushi platters. They were fresh, creative, & absolutely delicious. He also made a special sushi roll named after her'Elena'. Such a thoughtful & personal touch that made her celebration unforgettable.
I also highly recommend The miso soup, the Fukuyu salad & the tacos, they are simply divine.
I want to thank the chef Francis for his kindness & for exceeding my expectations. Thank you to Bren, the friendly & warm waitress, for her lovely service. The entire experience was exceptional.

We had dinner at Yufuku last Thursday, the place looked nice but was pretty empty. The server was very nice & the service was quick.
Unfortunately the food was a bit disappointing. We ordered two rolls & a platter of sashimi. The rolls were quite big & well presented, but a bit tasteless. The sashimis looked good & thick, but half of them were tough & unpleasant to eat, the salmon still had the grey part underneath & were very chewy instead of the melt-in-your-mouth texture I'm used to.
For drinks, we tried the litchi punch which was nice & fresh.
Overall, the restaurant looked nice but the food was disappointing & expensive for the quality we received.
We came hungry, left completely content & full. Great little space in NDG to grab quality sushi. The edamame was perfectly cooked, & sushi rolls were beautifully crafted.
It was our first time here, but we'll be coming back our next sushi craving 💙✨?
Great place! Food was fantastic & service was great. We often eat at various sushi restaurants in Toronto so we decided to try Yufuku (as recommended by a friend) when we were in Montréal this past weekend & were pleasantly surprised. Our two kids loved the Japanese fried chicken & we enjoyed what we ordered which are shown in the photos. We had the wagu nigiri (one of their specials), soft shell crab, taco tatare the assorted torched donburi & the Geisha roll. Definitely coming back when we're back in town!!!
Third time here, & always incredible. I saw another review re: the prices. The prices are more than fair for the quality, labour-intensive preparation, & freshness of ingredients. The specials change regularly, & everything on the menu has an element of surprise & magic in flavour & texture. From the specials, we ordered the black sesame udon w/ cremini mushrooms & tofu, beef tataki, salmon & tuna nori roll fried in tempura batter; from the menu, we ordered the octopus salad & the fried ice cream. The salmon & tuna nori roll in tempura was outstanding: I could have eaten this all night. The beef tataki was so tender & perfectly seasoned with a slight kick, & the udon was a truly unique. The salads are always delicious: I look forward to the wide assortment of flavors, textures, & ingredients. As usual, the sauces are phenomenal. My boyfriend loved the fried ice cream, but I was too full to try it!
2nd review: (I think I accidentally erased it, but basically we ate dinner & brought along my MIL. I loved the ramen: the broth was beautifully deeply flavoured - perfect for winter. Tacos were as amazing as I remembered from our first visit, the salad delicious, & the scallop sushi from the specials was orgasmic. The dessert sushi was such a fun surprise! It was the perfect way to end the meal: fresh, fruity, just sweet enough, cool, & colourful.

Absolutely mind-blowing. We ordered tacos tartares, soft-shell crab, grilled calamari, the geisha roll, the Yufuku roll, the Kumokani roll, the scallop explosion, karaage, yuzu cheesecake, & the croffle with ice cream. Try as we might, we were unable to choose favourites - it was all outstanding. The freshness & quality of the ingredients are unmatched. The presentation is delicate, thoughtful, & stunning. The signature sauces alone are worth returning for. We highly recommend & are definitely going back!

Went with my family & ordered a bunch of appetizers + rolls to share with each other. First of all, the owner is extremely nice & humble, as well as very passionate about his work. We could see him decorating our plates & was our waiter too, & he was very friendly with us. All the dishes came out & were presented excellently, they all looked very pretty. Everything, literally everything tasted incredible: The tacos, sushi rolls, squid, fried chicken, soft-shell crab, yuzu cheesecake & croffle were all worth coming back to try again, we couldn't choose a favourite because they were all so delicious 😋. The venue was also very nice & relaxed, & you have the option to sit on mats with your shoes off which was very comfortable & what we did. For the price; the service, freshness of ingredients, as well as the taste of all the food went above & beyond. I've never gone out of my way to leave a google review but I thought that this restaurant was truly incredible & I urge people to go & try it. (Also their homemade sauce should be bottled, it's that good!) 😃.
The food was delicious. We tried the taco tartare, octopus salad, japanese fried chicken (SO good!), the ocean roll & another dish from the board + 2-3 glasses of wine. The presentation, the freshness of the food, even the service was just great. The chef/owner was also very welcoming & asked us about the food. It was a gastronomic experience. Thank you!
Soft shelled crab to die for...gorgeous top quality sashimi & more. It was our anniversary & we were treated to a beautiful mango sauce roll... Run don't walk to this place..it is a super decently priced gem!
Been here a few times & the food is excellent each & every time! The Yufuku roll, scallop & pork sliders are my favourites but I've yet to try the other things on the menu. The mocktails are also very good!! Will definitely be back!
Everything was delicious. The meal was quite the experience. Especially enjoyed the Tacos, the Okonomiyaki & the Geisha roll. Amazing!
Great new addition to Monkland! Everything we tasted was so flavorful & made with love, such great options on the menu it's hard to choose. The fried chicken, the spring rolls, & the pork sliders were the winners this time, & there's so much more I want to try next time. Will definitely be back!
What an exceptional & tasty Japanese restaurant! We had the chance to try out this place during their grand opening weekend. Our waitress Isabella was incredibly friendly. The tapas are a standout, each dishes was tasty & creative - not to mention the beautiful presentation. Among the lineup, the Feuille de Tartare, the Taco Tartare & the Yufuku rolls were our favourite! Additionally, our young daughter loved their seared Aburi sushi. This place is a must-visit! Definitely coming back during our next visit to Montreal.
A MUST TRY NEW JAPANESE RESTAURANT IN NDG. I highly recommend (these were my favorite, but everything else was amazing as well) : - Tartare tacos - Legit any sushi rolls - Fried ice cream They have unique creations, using a large variety of flavors, textures & ingredients. The interior decor is really nice, clean & the vibe is cozy, semi chic. The chef really know what he is doing & I can assure you can you'll be unlocking a new craving.
