In short, we paid for 3 set menus but only got 2 incomplete menus that were delayed in service. While Yubari presents a promising array of Japanese cuisine, my recent visit during Grand Prix weekend left me with mixed feelings. The dishes, primarily Japanese fare, displayed culinary finesse & premium ingredients, but the portions served did not justify the price paid. Adding to the disappointment, the service failed to meet expectations, particularly evident in the delayed arrival of the sashimi platter, an essential element of any Japanese dining experience. Despite our patience, the platter arrived an hour & a half after being seated, & it only catered to two individuals despite our larger party. This logistical oversight necessitated repeated reminders about the missing items from the set menu to our server, disrupting the meal's flow & diminishing overall enjoyment. Furthermore, the fact that we had pre-paid for a set menu upon booking only added to our dissatisfaction. Despite the upfront payment, we felt we overpaid for the amount & quality of food provided. The delayed service of the sashimi platter, a key component of the set menu, further accentuated this sense of dissatisfaction.Voir plus

I came here twice when I was working in Montreal, as I was staying in the hotel that shares the same building. Both times I sat at the bar. The first time was on a Monday evening & it was just ok. I had the slider, sashimi yellow & yellowtail roll. Slider was not that great, sushi was ok, nothing to write home about. I then came on a Wednesday & everything was so much better. Service & food were both amazing, my water was constantly being refilled like clockwork. The dumplings, baos buns & chocolate yuzu were to die for & my sushi roll was much better this time round. They also make a great espresso martini as well. Will definitely remember this meal & will be back again, next time I am in town.Voir plus

The food was good but enough with these club style restaurants playing club music. It's much nicer to go to a serious authentic Japanese restaurant owned by someone Japanese. Overpriced. Menu wasn't exciting but quality was good.Voir plus

Expérience absolument fantastique du début à la fin. Le lieu est simplement magnifique, l'ambiance est feutrée, chic, la musique est parfaite. J'ai particulièrement aimer les crispy rice & les nigiris ora king. Le maki koi no yokan est divin !!! La qualité des sushis est vraiment a tomber par terre, le poisson est frais & fond dans la bouche. Mention spécial pour le service ; un sans faute sur toute la ligne. Les serveurs sont aux petits oignons & se sont assurés que mon amie & moi étions satisfaites à notre sortie... on a tellement hâte de revenir !!!Voir plus

Expérience inoubliable au Yubari ce soir, service hors pair, dès notre arrivée nous avons senti l'accueil chaleureux & nous avons été traité avec une attention soignée. Came to Yubari for the first time this weekend with a group of friends. We were warmly welcomed by the staff. The decor & whole atmosphere, along with the live DJ was absolutely amazing. Absolutely must-try! I dined at YUBARI last week, & it was an unforgettable experience. Opened just last March, this gem has quickly become a standout in the dining scene. The ambiance is elegant & welcoming, perfect for a special evening. The menu is a delightful blend of traditional & modern flavors, with every dish beautifully presented & bursting with taste. The sushi & sashimi were incredibly fresh, & the signature dishes left a lasting impression. Exceptional service & attention to detail made the evening even more enjoyable. If you're looking for high-quality sushi in a beautifully decorated, fancy setting, I highly recommend this place. It's similar to Jatoba but with smaller table sizes. The interior is beautifully styled. They offer luxurious ingredients like wagyu, truffle, & caviar. The prices reflect the upscale nature of the restaurant, falling into the $$$$ category.
