I stumbled upon the bar on Wednesday just looking to grab a beer, but the bartender & the regulars were so friendly that I ended up making friends & staying longer than I planned. Out of my four nights in Montreal, I ended up spending three of them in that bar, meeting tons of awesome people. Thanks for the warm welcome, you guys made me feel right at home from the get-go.

Lors de mon récent séjour à Montréal pour un événement, j'ai découvert un véritable joyau caché ! Après le concert, un lundi à 23h30, je cherchais quelque chose à grignoter & suis entrée dans un endroit où j'ai été chaleureusement accueillie par la barmaid, Jade. Son service était tout simplement fabuleux, & les prix étaient incroyablement abordables. Même en n'étant pas une grande buveuse, j'ai été agréablement surprise par l'atmosphère accueillante & sécurisante de l'endroit, & j'ai fini par y passer toute la soirée. C'était vraiment un moment merveilleux, une petite perle rare dans la vie nocturne de Montréal. Je recommande vivement cet endroit.
This quirky bar is a hidden gem. The staff were extremely helpful & genuinely kind. The location looked questionable at first, but once you enter this basement bar, you feel that the atmosphere is not what you would expect. I would recommend this bar to anyone who likes to venture off the beaten path.
Unique, quirky, friendly, lively little basement bar that I will definitely visit again. Jade made us feel very welcome, almost like old friends. Along with all the other staff who were more like a group of good friends than just coworkers. We received excellent service & thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Be aware, it is a cash only bar. They do have an ATM on site, but to avoid the service charge, bring yer money.

Le bar est malade! Atmosphère de fou, musique excellente, & surtout, un service impeccable & surper amical de Jade! Je recommende à tout le monde!!!! Ps: table de babyfoot gratuit!
J'y suis allée en semaine avec des amis & même si le bar était presque vide l'ambiance était cool ! Le barman était super sympathique, nous avons même eu droit à des shooters gratuit 2-3 fois & on nous a prêté un jeu de société. C'était pas la première fois que j'y allais, & je vais y retourner clairement 😊
Bar génial!! Super ambiance!! Super service (shoutout à Jade & Phil)! On se sent à la maison au Yer Mad! Petit bémol, quelques temps avant la fermeture, la porte principale se fait barrer pour ne pas que de nouvelles personnes entrent, ce qui nous oblige à aller à la porte arrière, mais celle-ci est souvent coincée, ce qui n'est pas très sécuritaire en cas d'urgence....
