Great pub with a $35 three course prefix lunch special & great beers on tap. Prices are very reasonable & staff is friendly.

This is a great spot to grab a drink or a bite to eat! We only had beverages during our visits, but we actually stopped in twice during our trip, because we liked the atmosphere.

The interior has a really cool vibe that feels like a mix between a speakeasy & an upscale club. The drinks were well poured, although the flavors themselves weren't necessarily our favorites. I tried the Ninja Turtle, which had a unique flavor, as well as the Cherry Coke LIIT.

The outdoor patio is also a nice option, although if you're visiting on a hot day, keep in mind that there isn't much of a breeze. We were there in early August, so it was definitely noticeable!

The staff was friendly both times we visited. Overall, it's worth a stop if you're nearby, especially if you're looking for a fun atmosphere & a strong drink.

I tried the AAA Canadian hanger steak, but unfortunately it wasn't for me. The beef was quite chewy, & the bordelaise sauce had a strong, unfamiliar flavor that didn't suit my palate. As an Asian diner, I personally prefer a more straightforward beef flavor with sauces like chimichurri or pepper sauce. The atmosphere was nice, but considering the market price, I expected a bit more from the steak.

Great place. Amazing back patio. Had the chip & dip as a starter & the Tika Masala as an entry. Very good for a reasonable price.

The savory pies are very good. The wait staff are kind & friendly. Lots of old world charm. The only thing is that it takes 20 minutes to get our drinks & another 30 to get our food. Make sure you're not in a rush & not too hungry.

Was seated in the back patio area right next to another table. It was extremely awkward so we left. The place was busy but other tables were open. Wasn't comfortable or welcoming, more of a'how many people can we cram in here' feeling.
Wont be returning.

Ok, I'm still sat at the bar but I need to get this down for posterity whilst it's still fresh in my mind…

I've had many scotch eggs in my life - from the cheap, limp, dry supermarket ones to haddock ones I've made myself. Black pudding ones are always good, & the Waitrose balti spiced one is very highly rated.

But this one, oh my god - it's exceptional. A duck egg wrapped in maple bacon sausage meat & perfectly crisp breadcrumbs with a beautifully dressed rocket salad & branston pickle. I don't even like branston pickle but with this it was perfect. Seriously, as scotch eggs go this one is off the scale, & well worth the visit to Montreal alone…

The beer is good too (cream ale), the staff are perfectly attentive & friendly, & the atmosphere is bustling but not overly boisterous.

Come, have the scotch egg, revel in being alive at this time
