Google maps offered me the Wolf & Workman as the nearest hit. We had a great lunch, but I would comment that the menu is not English Pub & there was only one bitter & Guinness on tap, both of which I was ok with, but mention it in case you are really looking for that English pub experience.
Atmosphere resembles an English pub. Very quaint. Our bartender was great, she made our drinks very tasty. Great seats to watch the F1 qualifying. I ordered sourdough bread & I thought with butter on the side. Instead got two pieces of hard toast with butter melted into it. Would not order again. Other than that, it's fine!
Cozy pub in the heart of Old Montreal! Three of us shared the chicken pot pie (WOW!!!) & the lamb cavitelli. Delicious food & great service.
Lively with outstanding pub food & nice selection of cold beers. Great service.
Loved this little pub/restaurant! Met for dinner after a day of exploring Old Montreal. Cool vibe with a lot of character. Cool art & fixtures. Staff was wonderful. Helpful & gave great recommendations! The Assiette Mezze was delicious. Cream of mushroom soup was rich & tasty. Burger & were both hits! Nice selection of mocktails. Upon recommendation I tried the Limonade Rose & Noix & it was fabulous!
Terrific pub in old Montreal -- great staff & menu. Try the tikka masala.
Amazing spot for excellent elevated pub food.
& perhaps meeting great company too.
Highly recomend the chicken pot pie - the best one I have ever had.
Totally random'pub near me search' led us here. Turned out to be a real gem! Excellent draft selection, started things off with that. Ordered the lunch special. Fantastic deal.
Mushroom soup, nice sized bowl & so so tasty.
Then the pork sandwich, cuban style was AMAZING. Pickles really gave it the flavor & crunch.
Fries were excellent & a large portion.
The chocolate mousse had to be the star of the meal. Small cupful but off the charts delicious.
Our servers were all super friendly & helpful.
She actually took the time to write down several dinner recommendations, which turned out to be world class places we later confirmed with the hotel concierge. Montreal has many culinary choices but she had them nailed down to top notch selections. So thank you to the staff!
Next visit we will be back here!!
We stumbled on the Pub Wolf & Workman on a recent trip to Montreal & it was excellent. The staff was friendly & welcoming. The food was all varied & delicious. They were also playing a 90's playlist that was extra great. Will come back
Did not eat ,but the food looked delicious!
Guinness & cocktails !!!!
Friendly staff & a cool high end pub feel
A great pub in Old Montreal. As others have noted, parking can be an issue, but there is a parking lot nearby that we found space in the night we visited.
They are very accommodating for those with children, & have a good menu for the little ones. Their selection of food & drinks for adults is also very good, with large portions & quick service.
We popped in to this pub for lunch at 11:40 & were quickly seated & served water. I had the house burger & fries with a pint of Stella , & my wife had the chicken pot pie with hot, lemon water. Both meals were excellent. The server was very friendly & attentive. I finished with an excellent latte (cafe au lait). As we were leaving (around 12:50) we noticed that the place was packed.
I highly recommend the Pub Wolf & Workman !
Fun pub with excellent food. What a lively place with a pretty solid pub menu with all your favourites. Great beer selection & reasonable prices. We will definitely stop in for a bite & a pint the next time we are in the area.
We stumbled upon this lovely pub on St. Patrick's Day. They were busy but warm & attentive, so we were willing to wait a bit. The scotch egg was delightful, & the STPCC (sticky toffee pudding carrot cake) was so delicious. The pints were good & the atmosphere was nice. Would recommend!!
The beverages were awesome, & the servers both times I went were energized & helpful. I even asked one where we should go next & they recommended a great follow up pub.
We got food the first time & split it three ways. The lamb pasta melted in the mouth & the cauliflower dish was a great add on. I would go back for more but just having drinks there was also fun.
Toller Service, super Drinks und schöner Pub! Tolle Beratung bei den Getränken! Mega Wolf Mary! 🤩
Peak weekend evening so it was busy & loud but as expected for a gastro pub. Did not eat but drinks were good but service was slow & lighting was varied & too low on the resto side in parts.
This was a lovely pub. The food was fantastic. They specialize in pot pies & I tried the braised beef pie. The flavors were amazing & the beef was perfectly cooked. Would return for sure.
