The drinks (including the'Negroni of the week') were phenomenal & reasonably priced. The food was INCREDIBLE - homemade chips with the most delicious French onion dip I've ever had. For my main I ordered the porch chop with white beans & chorizo & I've been craving it ever since. My wife ordered the chicken pot pie which was absolutely amazing. Last but not least - the service was absolute perfection. The servers were the friendliest & genuinely sweetest people I encountered on our trip, & we're talking Canada so everyone is already operating at a level of courtesy above & beyond the states. The service & the wonderful people at Wolf & Workman truly made our experience perfect. I only wish I could remember specific names! You will NOT regret a table, a drink, & some incredible food here. Cannot recommend enough.
Cozy pub in the heart of Old Montreal! Three of us shared the chicken pot pie (WOW!!!) & the lamb cavitelli. Delicious food & great service.
Amazing spot for excellent elevated pub food.
& perhaps meeting great company too.
Highly recomend the chicken pot pie - the best one I have ever had.
Might be the best chicken pot pie I have ever had. The pastry was extremely light & reminiscent of a yorkie. Service was very good & you can't beat the old Montreal atmosphere. Beef tartare was also....perfect. Saw someone else's scotch egg come to a table next to us & almost ordered it for dessert! I hope to visit again.
Everything was amazing. The chicken pot pie was to die for. Thank you for everything !
This food was outstanding. I had a great hamburger (top 5 lifetime), & my wife had the best chicken pot pie that I have ever seen / smelled / tasted
We popped in to this pub for lunch at 11:40 & were quickly seated & served water. I had the house burger & fries with a pint of Stella , & my wife had the chicken pot pie with hot, lemon water. Both meals were excellent. The server was very friendly & attentive. I finished with an excellent latte (cafe au lait). As we were leaving (around 12:50) we noticed that the place was packed.
I highly recommend the Pub Wolf & Workman !
Great food good service...try the chicken pot pie its best in canada
The chicken pot pie was excellent. Beer was cold. Mussels & fries good flavor but did not come hot.
You'll want a reservation (walking in is almost impossible) but it's for good reason!
We ordered the chicken pot pie (to die for), the Shepard's pie (pretty good), & one of the pasta dishes (phenomenal). The drinks were great & the service excellent.
We celebrated a birthday here & the staff helped make the night special.
Un pub bien agréable l'hiver, avec un service attentionné & une très bonne cuisine. Nous y sommes retournés dès le lendemain. Essayez le chicken pot pie, un must !
Beautiful pub, friendly staff & amazing pies!!! We were lucky to order the last stroganoff pie of the night, which was to die for!!! The chicken one was also incredible.
Also, good thing we had a reservation because it was packed inside!!
Proper Pie - beef stroganoff - didn't want it to end... Yum yum. My wife had the Chicken Pot Pie, full of chicken flavor, great pastry - one of the best. The Bitter was a good pint. Great music! Just go!
This place is a great experience & one of the finer Pubs in Montreal. This is a must visit for locals & travelers!
The way the atmosphere hits the right pub vibe. Small, cozy, friendly, & expansive. The wood finish & the lighting gives a sense like you have been going there your whole life.
The service was very friendly, super fast, & helpful. Our waiter understood we only spoke English & that was no problem on their end.
The food was outstanding & very creative! Arancini to start is the way to go as they were tasty, creamy, & hearty. The Chicken Pot pie was super hot but it was delicious. The seafood pasta was very fresh & filling. The presentation & portion size was near perfect. The drinks were mixed to perfection. The mixology is top tier here.
The prices are above average but worth every bit.
Overall, Pub Wolf & Workman is an amazing place to have a bite to eat or watch a futball game with the regulars that go there. This is a hometown pub up & down.
Try the chicken pot pie. It was delicious. Great place to go for drinks
Great place to stop for a bite to eat. I had the chicken tiki masala & would recommend it.
My first & only review goes to Wolf & Workman, who absolutely earned it. My friend, Kate, & I spent over a week in Montréal & stumbled upon this spot on our first day. We ended up coming back again & again. The food & drinks were excellent, & the staff couldn't have been kinder to us (shoutout to Kayla!). We're already planning our return to Montréal, & the chicken pot pie & drinks alone are more than enough reason to come back. We're wondering how many visits it'll take before we earn scarf hanging privileges? Our team/place of work would look pretty good up there…
Zev our server was outstanding! Great recommendations with salmon, chicken pot pie, & hummus plate.
