Once we got to the terasse it was a lovely experience. Went on a Thursday evening around 6pm & the DJ made it a bit overstimulating inside, as they were very loud. Good music choices though!
Food itself was absolutely delicious. I had the W&W burger, cooked to spec at medium temp. My partner was there for the pie, but while we were waiting at the bar for our table, saw & smelled the tikka masala & couldnt resist. He said he didn't regret the switch at all.
Overall wonderful experience, great prices, & lovely, attentive staff. So so loud inside though. So loud.
A staple in my favourite Montreal spots. It always hits - whether for a drink after work, weekend brunch, or dinner weeknights or the weekend. The food is consistent, the staff is friendly, & it's always a good time. If you're going for brunch, you need to order the bacon blueberry pancakes. In my opinion, these are some of the best pancakes in the city. The scotch egg, burger, & chicken pot pie are also menu items I consistently go back to.
The Steak & Sides: I ordered the 6 oz Canadian AAA beef banger steak with a Caesar salad & a side of puréed potatoes. I asked for the steak to be prepared blue, but it was served rare. I was hungry, so I just ate it anyway-though after the meal, the server kindly mentioned I should have told her right away so she could have fixed it. The steak came with a delicious beef au jus for dipping; it was so flavorful that I never once thought about asking for steak sauce. The potatoes were incredibly smooth & puréed-not quite what I expected for standard mashed potatoes, but very tasty just the same.
?The Caesar Salad: The Caesar salad featured large bacon crumbles & a hefty helping of parmesan slices. However, it seemed to be completely lacking any actual Caesar dressing, which is starting to seem like an ongoing theme for Caesar salads in Montreal!
?The W&W Burger: My wife ordered the Angus beef W&W Burger with fries. The burger patty was absolutely massive & came loaded with lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, pickles, onion, a spicy calypso sauce, & an onion & bacon confit. The fries on the side were also very good.
?A Quick Drink Tip: Heads up that soft drink refills are not free here. I'd recommend pacing yourself unless you want to pay $3 per top-up!
?Overall: Great atmosphere & solid food, just don't hesitate to speak up if your steak temp is slightly off!
We were disappointed with our experience. The French fries were overcooked & too crispy. The burger had barely any vegetables-just a tiny piece of lettuce-& the patty was much smaller than expected. We ordered it medium, but it came well done. The side green salad was also very small & overly salty. Overall, the portions were small, & the meal didn't meet our expectations.
The back yard was cool though!
The breaded croquette was filled with meat & duck egg & served with arugula. The dressing & the sauce on the side made it especially flavorful 😎🤌🏻 & I definitely recommend ordering it. The burger was also very tasty. The atmosphere was nice! overall it's definitely worth trying.
We were on the lookout for a good burger in Old Montreal & came across this spot; such a great find. The place had a nice pub atmosphere, & the burger was really good: juicy, flavourful, & satisfying. The sautéed onions & bacon took it to the next level. Definitely worth it!
Delicious food, exceptional service & delicious professionaly crafted cocktails as well as a great choice of wine & beer, what ales can you ask for?
The burger, salon entree, pork & cesar salad were all delicious.
We were there on a hockey night so it was a bit loud for our taste but besides that the experience was all around amazing.
At some point a gentelman came in with a golden retriever, I was surprised they let him on but the dog was well behaved & instantly become the main attraction. They have a beautiful hidden terrace in the back!
Loved this little pub/restaurant! Met for dinner after a day of exploring Old Montreal. Cool vibe with a lot of character. Cool art & fixtures. Staff was wonderful. Helpful & gave great recommendations! The Assiette Mezze was delicious. Cream of mushroom soup was rich & tasty. Burger & were both hits! Nice selection of mocktails. Upon recommendation I tried the Limonade Rose & Noix & it was fabulous!
Great cocktails & mocktails! The 3-plate lunch was a TON of food! Mushroom soup was delicious & could have nearly been a meal on its own. The burger I had, with bacon & caramelized onion jam, was incredible, & the fries were perfect. Dessert was a decadent fudge with whipped cream that I couldn't finish, sadly. Service was on point, atmosphere was amazing, & my friend said the bathrooms were clean & stocked.
