The place had a nice pub atmosphere, & the burger was really good: juicy, flavourful, & satisfying. The sautéed onions & bacon took it to the next level. Definitely worth it!
Delicious food, exceptional service & delicious professionaly crafted cocktails as well as a great choice of wine & beer, what ales can you ask for?
The burger, salon entree, pork & cesar salad were all delicious.
We were there on a hockey night so it was a bit loud for our taste but besides that the experience was all around amazing.
At some point a gentelman came in with a golden retriever, I was surprised they let him on but the dog was well behaved & instantly become the main attraction. They have a beautiful hidden terrace in the back!
Loved this little pub/restaurant! Met for dinner after a day of exploring Old Montreal. Cool vibe with a lot of character. Cool art & fixtures. Staff was wonderful. Helpful & gave great recommendations! The Assiette Mezze was delicious. Cream of mushroom soup was rich & tasty. Burger & were both hits! Nice selection of mocktails. Upon recommendation I tried the Limonade Rose & Noix & it was fabulous!
Great cocktails & mocktails! The 3-plate lunch was a TON of food! Mushroom soup was delicious & could have nearly been a meal on its own. The burger I had, with bacon & caramelized onion jam, was incredible, & the fries were perfect. Dessert was a decadent fudge with whipped cream that I couldn't finish, sadly. Service was on point, atmosphere was amazing, & my friend said the bathrooms were clean & stocked.
We popped in to this pub for lunch at 11:40 & were quickly seated & served water. I had the house burger & fries with a pint of Stella , & my wife had the chicken pot pie with hot, lemon water. Both meals were excellent. The server was very friendly & attentive. I finished with an excellent latte (cafe au lait). As we were leaving (around 12:50) we noticed that the place was packed.
I highly recommend the Pub Wolf & Workman !
I was here the other day & had a terrible experience. The staff were obviously drunk & not just one person, but it seemed like everyone was intoxicated which felt super unprofessional. We waited on our drinks while they did shots together & ignored us. Not to mention we overheard the staff (including who I assume is the manager) openly talking badly about other clients. Overall unprofessional & not worth the money they charge for simple items like a normal burger with fries. I've never gone out of my way to leave a bad review before but it was THAT bad.
Stopped in at Wolf & Workman for lunch between two client meetings & honestly… this place understood the assignment.
I walked in & immediately got that warm, chill, cozy feeling. Perfect indie rock at the right volume vibes. The kind of music that says'stay a while, but don't panic if you have emails.'
The manager was at the bar doing some work, bartender greeted me right away, & when I asked for a quiet spot with a plug to get some laptop work done, they both made sure I was set up properly. Small detail, big win.
My waitress had a serious, slightly cold demeanor but in a good way. April Ludgate energy, minus the chaos. Dry. Professional. Zero nonsense. I loved it.
I ordered an Old Fashioned. She made sure to confirm it was their version (slightly different than the traditional one). I said yes.
Excellent decision.
It was fantastic genuinely one of the best Old Fashioneds I've had in a while, & this is my go-to drink.
Then came the W-W burger (burger of the day). Caramelized onions, jam, cheese the works. Quality ingredients, cooked right. The brioche bun initially felt firm, but it turns out it was just preparing me. That crunch ended up being exactly what the burger needed.
The patty was perfectly rosé… but let me be clear:
This burger was actively trying to escape.
Like a raccoon realizing the trash lid is loose, the patty kept making break attempts from the bun. This is not a burger you casually pick up, put down, & reflect on life choices. No. Once you lift it, you commit. Setting it back down becomes a high-risk maneuver.
I foolishly attempted to pause mid-burger. Bad idea.
Quick reassessment. Napkin deployed on lap for safety.
Second pickup. Final pickup. No turning back.
Despite several escape attempts, I managed to keep it together & enjoyed every bite. The waitress noticed my struggle &, without breaking character, quietly brought extra napkins for the aftermath. Respect.
Am I mad about the inconvenience? Not at all.
It's a burger. Deal with it.
& more importantly ... it was phenomenal.
Cozy, classy, busy but still quiet. A little expensive, but expensive in the right way.
I'll absolutely be back next time I'm nearby.
Perfect burger, amazing duck egg, great service, good beer & a really nice cocktail. What else do you need?
Service pretty rude on arrival. They misheard'two burgers' as'split a burger' so one of our party went without food, which they didn't apologise for. Not a great first impression of Montreal.
