i don't normally write reviews but this places deserves one. this is the place i go with my parents, the service is top shelf. my dad enjoys his time there because of how the people treat us, joking around with him & matching our energy. they're just kind people it's nice to find places like this still. thank you❤️View more

I feel terrible. I've never reviewed this place before! I've been going here for years; I used to work right by here. The Chinese food is amazing & for a great price, whether you're doing takeout or dining in. This place has consistently delivered me quality for the last eight years. My go-to order is General Tao, wonton, fried rice, & peanut butter dumplings. You won't be disappointed. Keep it up!View more
Poor service. Food was decent. Overall poor service. Was given dirty stained plates. Rude waitress who literally forgot one of our orders. On top of that would make rude comments alongside the other waiter/cashier. I don't plan on coming back.View more
2024: ordered the seafood chow mein & peanut butter shrimp dumplings for my mom, got the black bean beef for myself. Can now confirm that the portions & flavours were great. After seeing you on TV last night Susan, we feel compelled to write this review, as two long-time customers who always enjoyed their food when dining at your restaurant. Your Wok Cafe has a BIG problem that needs to be fixed ASAP. My sister & I have been eating at your Wok Cafe Restaurant for many years; we have recommended it to several friends, but last week's experience was so disappointing!! Wong-Ton Soup -- cold. Egg Rolls -- cold & burnt. General Tao Chicken -- over-cooked, hard to cut with a knife even, had more batter than chicken within & again, the dish was cold. Chicken Fried Rice -- cold. Our peanut-butter dumplings which were to be an appetizer, arrived after our main meal, & they too were cold, plus definitely not as good as on previous occasions! You mentioned that you were looking for cooks as two had recently left, which is a big problem if you want to keep your customers satisfied & coming back. Wallace left a year or more ago & he was a great "stand-in" person, server, prepared dumplings, helped cook, etc. Ralph one of your delivery persons is a great gentleman & always comes to say hello & have a chat with us & he too mentioned that you were hurting for cooks. We live around the corner from your Kirkland Wok Cafe, however, one experience there when it opened a few years ago was enough -- the person managing this restaurant was rude & the food was not up to the the standards of your restaurant off Sources. We always thought your restaurant was terrific/delicious & we couldn't wait to go back, but you need to fix your problem now before it is too late & you lose customers, good ones, like us! My wife orders from here all the time & the food & service is always great. However there's a woman working the phone there tonight who was pretty rude. First she asked my wife to hold on & put the phone down & just forgot about her. We could hear her yapping to her friend but after 10 minutes of yelling in the phone trying to get her attention, my wife hung up & called back. The second time the woman was just as rude. A special mention for the delivery guy though who is ALWAYS pleasant & friendly.View more
Had issues with my egg rolls, usually very good, home made, but came home to eat with guests & was burnt... inside :( ... called them, Susan, was understanding, explained new cook & refilled my order. A bit better, hopefully learns to fry them better over time. 😅 Really appreciated the service 😉View more

Wok cafe is the absolute best in West Island! Service is fast! Food is good & most of all they have the warmest kindest staff! They make the BEST peanut butter dumplings ever ! Delivery guy is the kindest person ever met for real! I was missing $ & he actually paid from his own $! I will never forget that thank you!View more
Went with friends my food was cold andthey had to reheat it plus friend order on spicy on her order & it was spicy very unhappy plus we were still eating & waiter brought the bill ... I think u gotta wait till we re done ....View more

Disgusting Meal...Rude Service The only reason I'm leaving one-star is that it was impossible to leave zero stars. I was at this restaurant with a large group on a Saturday night, & was appalled with the lack of courtesy in the service. The staff were spending more time preparing UberEats & DoorDash orders than they were in serving those of us seated in the restaurant. To make matters worse, the "crispy sesame beef" I ordered was not at all crispy...it was soggy, fatty, full of gristle, swimming in a sweet sauce, & virtually inedible. While paying, I voiced my displeasure & was brushed off with an extremely rude "it doesn't matter". It's one thing not offering value for money, but quite another not caring once you've been made aware of a paying customer's disappointment. I won't be returning for a repeat performance, & doubt many of our group will either.
