They have Vegetarian & Plant Based (Vegan) options or can modify dishes on request. I have been going there for many years. Sometimes dining in, takeout & delivey. As far as the West Island, this place is great for quick no frills Chinese Food. Food is always good & hot & the price has always been very reasonable. The decore is dated & could use a little freshening up. Table service has always been just average, not great, nothing spectacular, never service with a smile, definitely could use a lot of improvement.
This place is ideal for Takeout & Delivery.
Worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. I ordered Salt & pepper pork chops, Chicken shrimp mayo & salt & pepper tofu. Everything was not fresh at all & the quantity was very questionable for the price!

We've been coming here for several years. The food is still good, & we used to really enjoy this place. Prices have gone up, which is understandable these days.
But now they charge $3 for tea - something that used to be free, & is always complimentary in most Chinese restaurants. Paying extra for such a basic, cheap tea feels unreasonable & disappointing. It really takes away from the overall dining experience.
We've been going to Wok Cafe for years. It's mostly a take out joint ( not very fancy) & the food was great. Good size portions, great prices . However over the last couple of years it's been going down. We finally decided after ordering the other day that it's our last time patronizing this business. Food doesn't taste nice anymore, ( even the steamed rice seeming to be old & hard -- recycled) small portions & really over inflated greedy pricing. More onions & veggies to hide lacknof meat & chicken & take out orders packaged so you can't check the bag & missing stuff. Don't know if it's new owners or not, but I can no longer recommend this place. Luckily we have lots of other options, but we will miss our good old Wok Cafe go to spot. So sad.
Général Tau chicken with fried rice was amazing. Fresh & tasty. I had given it a bad review during the pandemic. They are still open so I figured they improved their food. I gave them another chance & was really surprised at how good the food was. Not to mention their prices are still reasonable.

Food was really good, quickly filled us up & didn't even finish half - price is reasonable & good. Ambiance is nice & clean, you can also see the kitchen - which looked clean as well! The server was really nice too. I'm definitely coming back here or making a delivery or take out order.
I always order Pad Thai from here weekly which have always been very good. This weekend, i decided to order my pad thai through uber eats along with salt & pepper tofu. Once again, & for the past 4-5 times I've ordered salt & pepper tofu, it was hard, dry, stale & way overcooked. Like they re-fried it from leftovers from the day before. It was inedible. Super disappointing & regret ordering it again. Will now only get salt & pepper tofu from Sheng Tai. For the same amount at almost half the price - it's way better, juicy & flavourful. Not pleased!!
I feel terrible. I've never reviewed this place before! I've been going here for years; I used to work right by here. The Chinese food is amazing & for a great price, whether you're doing takeout or dining in. This place has consistently delivered me quality for the last eight years. My go-to order is General Tao, wonton, fried rice, & peanut butter dumplings. You won't be disappointed. Keep it up!
