Finally some great black bean beef noodles! Lots of meat, single bite sized vegetables, heaps of noodles, & a perfect sauce. The staff table service was so sweet & we never had to ask for anything or get their attention.
My only complaint was the owner hawking the staff the whole time made me feel uncomfortable.View more
didn't go in person but had the food & as someone with a big appetite their portion really filled me up. I had the lemon chicken & a couple years back I had the general chicken & both times it was cooked well with just enough sauce. The wonton soup is very lacking in flavor but it does taste good.View more
Had sesame beef. A bit tomato-hey of the sauce, but very good. Especially appreciated the vegetables & hot & sour soupView more
Disgusting Meal...Rude Service The only reason I'm leaving one-star is that it was impossible to leave zero stars. I was at this restaurant with a large group on a Saturday night, & was appalled with the lack of courtesy in the service. The staff were spending more time preparing UberEats & DoorDash orders than they were in serving those of us seated in the restaurant. To make matters worse, the "crispy sesame beef" I ordered was not at all crispy...it was soggy, fatty, full of gristle, swimming in a sweet sauce, & virtually inedible. While paying, I voiced my displeasure & was brushed off with an extremely rude "it doesn't matter". It's one thing not offering value for money, but quite another not caring once you've been made aware of a paying customer's disappointment. I won't be returning for a repeat performance, & doubt many of our group will either.
Based on the good reviews, our group ate at WOK with positive expectations. What a disappointment! From the surly manager who seated us (& was very cranky when we asked for a different table than where he wanted us, despite the place being empty) to having to ask for cutlery, to the truly awful food: General Tao with lots of fried batter, & rarely any chicken inside, to the shrimp in lobster sauce that turned out to be a bland bunch of tiny shrimp floating in some tasteless brown sauce, to ginger beef that had no flavour at all except for some ginger slices in the brown sauce - everything was bland & lazily prepared. Our finished plates consisted of lots of rejected food & a pile of fried batter. The tea was good, the won ton soup was really good, & the secondary waiter who brought us one or two items was very nice with a smile. Will not go back.
